LaGringa is awesome. She deserves to win some kind of news award for her coverage of Honduras. She is so good she has even drawn the ire of the Chavistas.

As a long-time journalist, I am highly impressed with her continual and as factual as anyone can get in such a fluid situation. I believe that LaGringa's blog has informed me and people I communicate with. I know that without LaGringa I would be as ill-informed as most Americans are about the botched U.S. State Department reactions and actions in this sad drama where the people of Honduras and its congress and Supreme Court acted legally and with judicial and Congressional restraint. It is the OAS and the US who have mishandled their reactions and come out on the totally wrong side.

Viva La Gringa, a true citizen journalist.

The actions of this administration with respect to Honduras are both nauseating and puzzling. The president apologizes to Iran about our involvement with installing the Shah in the 1950s, and then it actively tries to insert its will on Honduras. The continued description of it as a military coup is strange to say the least. The attempt to quiet the Library of Congress review is bizarre in many respects. On this issue they act as if the world cannot get information about this situation and learn what a pile of crap administration policy is. The administration that ran such a savvy message control during the election is goofing foreign policy on a daily basis.

How involved is Hillary in policy? Although it looked as if she had been marginalized, her trip to Pakistan was rife with blunders. She appears to be a diplomatic nincompoop. Foreign policy appears completely confused and disorganized. Kerry (involved in the Honduras process) spends all kinds of effort to convince Karzai to have another election, as if the world depended upon it. Now no election but it's legitimate? Who knows what they are doing with respect to Afghanistan. Pull the missile defense from Eastern Europe, and Russia simply gives us its middle finger. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. This is the gang that can't shoot straight. Which rat will jump ship first and start spilling dirt? A lot of people will run away from this administration at some point, probably after the new year.

Good points, Roger. Wasn't this the very type of US badness that your past old leftee friends were so morally outraged about? Well, the Honduras vote will decide who the corrupt gringo bullies are, as well as who rules there.
