Biblio, and you might want to take a look at the party affiliation of those in the 30s who were pushing eugenics.

In America, this was the Democratic party. Margaret Singer for one.
In Germany (to which you no doubt allude), this was the National Socialist party, which also favored government ownership of industry, regulated work week hours, and so on.

You can see a copy of their party platform as an appendix to the book Liberal Fascism.

Bib: The last time we heard of the Birch Society was around ’74. Lincoln was a Republican, so was MLK. Neither was aware they were John Birchers. However we still have Robert Byrd, a KKK big shot in the US Senate. Guess which party?

I suspect homophobia runs about equal in both liberal and conservative camps. Same with racism. But conservatives don’t tend to divide people up into a hundred competing interest groups. Dick Cheney is more gay friendly than Obama (and I’m not a great fan of Cheney). Obama bravely champions civil unions. I haven’t heard of much opposition to them. Society has progressed enough that I don’t think having gays in the military is such a big deal for the men and women who are actually serving. Women are now highly regarded because of their proven service. Obama is gutless on everything except transforming America into a National Socialist utopia, a disaster for people of all gender orientations.

Banjo, the gay community is small in population but they punch way above their weight in politics. It’s a question of money. Gay and lesbian folks are working, just like everyone else. Unlike everyone else, gay and lesbian folks are, by and large, childless. With no kids to buy shoes for, or other clothes they outgrow every three months or so, They have more disposable income. If they slam shut their checkbooks, the Donks are in trouble. Especially considering that teh gheys are overrepresented in some industries that the Donks really depend on.

Ahh…the PC tapdance is getting tedious. Some Braveheart poster makes a less-than-tasteful comment about Obama’s racial make-up and it not only get’s taken down, but also a personal rebuke by Mr. Simon himself. But the hateful bile flowing from Biblio44 keyboard on so many occasions in the past is always tolerated(?) Mmmm….Mmmmm…..Mmmmm.

I recently read that watermellon…..WATERMELLON….is not allowed at some colleges because of the tacit racial animus contained in that vile fruit. Wow.

I agree with your assertions on many points. The BLT are anti-white anti-Jew anti-gay etc. Some of the most closed minds are Leftists.

I’m glad you post here as a White/Female/Lesbian/Conservative. I wish you would post more here because a voice like yours is important for the conservative side of America. In fact, I think it’s imperative that G/L conservatives sell conservatism too. There are some amazing black people who are conservatives and don’t buy the b.s. crap that the Left tries to force down their throats. I mention him from time to time but Kevin Jackson of ‘The Black Sphere’ is a wonderful example of a strong, black conservative.

Keep the faith, sister.

Conservatism is alive and well and the face of conservatism is limitless.
