Holy Moly Kobe - 61!

So during the half-time intermission Spike said: “He ain’t gonna score 35 this half.” And he was right. Kobe scored only 27 in the second half to go with his 34 in the first, making 61 on his highway, revisited or not. That’s 6 more than Jordan’s fabled double-nickel (55) against the Knicks and one more than Bernard King’s 60 for the most points ever scored in a basketball game in the current Madison Square Garden. And the thing is – Bryant didn’t seem like he was breaking a sweat. It was as if he could do this every night if it were the object of the game, to score the most points individually. On one thing Obama is surely right – Kobe Bryant is the best basketball player in the world.
