One of the beauties of TiVo is you can go back and watch things over again. On my second viewing of the debate, after reading the "gotcha" complaints, I was thoroughly entertained by how the interviewers gave Clinton a couple of chances to be asked new questions and she declined, preferring to add onto the "character" questions that had been on the table to Obama.

At one point, she even stated one of those questions was "legitimate" so Obama is going to have a tough time avoiding these questions for six more months when even a Democratic stalwart has deemed them legitimate.

The Dems want very simple debates: print out the policy proposals of each candidate, weigh them, and the heaviest one wins.

What a bunch of cry babies. For years these same people have called Bush a war criminal, a liar, a cheat, a thief, an idiot, a chimp, a moron, incompetent, evil...they have openly wished for his death, they have jumped with joy for every bit of bad news that has come his way, they have lived for paranoia, conspiracy theories, witch hunts, investigations.... etc in one big long gotcha moment...and when they get just a little bit of it back they whine and they cry and they demand justice.

Well all I can say is the left can dish it out, but they can not take it. They took political discourse in this country and put it right down a toilet. This is how hate works, it devours the hater. Could not happen to nicer bunch of guys and gals.

Amazing that the Democrats don't vet their Presidential aspirants more throughly than they do, especially one from Chicago where even the dead vote. Now we are finding out the Senator Obama has associated with Bill Ayers the terrorist and Rezko the indicted and has a mentor named Rev. "Goddamn America" Wright. There hasn't been any real digging by the media like where did the money come from to buy the Senator's home and lot adjacent to it. There is a Saddam bagman that hasn't even been touched in the news yet but will be, the Democrats had a shoo-in and they pick political cripples.

"Gotcha, not substantive issues"...we are electing a Chief Executive, and, in an exective job, an individual's people-selection skills are extremely substantive. As is the nature of his thought processes.

Obama has never held a substantial executive job, so he may actually not understand the difference between a leader and a walking position paper.

Obama is bitter about ABC's "gotcha" debate, and will bring his new handgun to church on Sunday.

When everything is said and done, the MSM did not do "Barry" Obama and the Democrats any favors. The journalistic community cut him a lot of slack because they perceived him to be the dark skinned messiah offering redemption to guilt tripped whites. Tough question were therefore not asked---and now the proverbial crap has hit the fan. Obama may be comparable to a fast ball hitting minor leaguer who is promoted to the major leagues before learning how to handle a wicked curve.

"Also Obama wants us to excuse Wright because his church did some "good things."

Roger,

Isn't that also the Hamas defense?

Yet another indication that Obama is not ready for prime time. He's been coddled by a very supportive press--"rock star" and all that hoo-hah--so that when he gets a couple of reasonable questions, it seems like "gotcha".

If he thinks Charlie Gibson and Georgie Boy are too tough, he ain't seen nothin' yet.

Welcome to big leagues, kid!

But don't forget, this is the same guy who has refused to talk to Fox News for years. (What has he got to be afraid of?)

Scott

P.S. I wonder what his stance is on the Brigitte Bardot trial. What's your take, Roger?
