Starbucks here in Asia is an outpost for tech savvy students and expats. In some ways, it's like the outdoor cafes in Paris: A place for ideas to be discussed (Starbucks usually has outside and inside tables). If they have tourists, they need restaurants and restrooms. Better Starbucks than McDonalds.
