Dirty tricks are the god sent of an otherwise dull, dismal campaign. If I was running and only had money to do either great dirty tricks or a wonky add on the perils of the trade deficit, I go for the dirty trick. Can you imagine what it must have been like "volunteering" for inspector Perot in 92? Not cheating here is all well and good, but in political warfare, “cheating” is essential.
