The level of cognitive dissonance which they live with is truly awe inspiring however. The ability seems to be based on the fact that they are unable to include the larger world with their own private corner of it. It seems like they have parallel universes. One, is the world where America is terrible. The one where LLLs proclaim their compassion for all the little people but do nothing for them. Where there activities are all aimed at making themselves feel good. The other world, is the real world where they work and interact with people on a daily basis. I have heard them complain bitterly about taxes and lazy workers (restaraunt owner) that don't learn anything in school. Then, when the conversatoin turns general, they cheer for the Demos and increased welfare and multi-culti curriculums. They never notice their own contradictions. I actually had a relative tell me that the difference between Left and Right was that the Left is motivated by feelings & the right by facts. AND HE WAS LAUDING THE LEFT!!!!!! However, in his daily business (VP of a real estate company) he is as fact driven and hard nosed as any capitalist you could imagine.
