Sandy “Pants” Berger who… this afternoon on the Fox Network… blamed both Bushes for North Korea. Of course the premise here is that anyone could have told Kim Jung Il what to do, an assumption that is, to say the last, highly dubious. And who would trust Berger anyway? Putting this character on television to attack Bush must be another Rove conspiracy.
And the Roger L. Simon “Partisan Hack of the Day” award goes to…

The only ones telling KJI what to do are the Chinese. And who knows what he’s hearing.
(Fox must be hungry for talking heads that they had “Pants” giving his opinion)(I blame Rove!)
And this from a man who has more damning evidence in his pants than Paris Hilton.
I’m just astounded that NoKo set off a bomb after the brilliant agreement that one of our most respected ex-presidents negotiated with them. He describes how he solved the problem in this excerpted interview:
JUDY WOODRUFF: …. Are you absolutely persuaded that the North Koreans are going to honor this agreement, that while the talks are going on that it’s not just a matter of buying time on the part of the North Koreans, that they will not secretly pursue the program they were pursuing earlier, nuclear program?
JIMMY CARTER: Judy, I’m convinced. But I said this when I got back from North Korea, and people said that I was naive or gullible and so forth. I don’t think I was. In my opinion, this was one of those perfect agreements where both sides won and got what they wanted and there were no-nobody blinked, nobody had to yield…. I think the most important lesson is that we should not ever avoid direct talks, direct conversations, direct discussions and negotiations with the main person in a despised or misunderstood or condemned society who could actually resolve the issue. And we went through this for ten years when nobody in our government would meet or talk to Yasir Arafat. The Norwegians did, and they were the ones that brought the peace agreement last summer….

Catherine,
And this from a man who has more damning evidence in his pants than Paris Hilton.
I don’t know if it is a sign of the times or of my advancing years but I have to admit that the thought of the “damning evidence” in Paris Hilton’s “pants” seemed the more icky vision to me. Sigh…
I probably was done at the behest of Rove. Giving the fever swamp moonbats more air time before the upcoming election can only help the Repubs. If Fox could just give Clooney/Streisand/Woopie a lot of air time just prior to the elections then it would be a slam dunk for the GOP.
Sheesh, I like Gibson on Fox and I watched it today, or thought I did, but I missed the Berger segment.
I’m glad I missed it, saved me an email asking Gibson what he was thinking. As far as I’m concerned Berger stole and/or altered “my” stuff and his word is perpetually without value to me.
Be that as it may, he only got a 3 year suspension of security clearance, so he’ll be all set to be part of government again if the Dems take the presidency in ’08.
Sandy Berger belongs in jail, not on TV.
Meanwhile, the “Plamegate” investigation is still ongoing….
What’s wrong with this picture?
Catherine: Nice one, but now I’ve ruined another keyboard with a coffee spew.
Vulgorilla,
Ferggedabout Clooney/Streisand/Woopie! We want Dean! We want him on air everyday. Give that guy more face time than Clooney/Streisand/Woopie combined. Pelosi would be second choice.
