Guess <a href="http://stephenbodio.blogspot.com/2006/03/crash-not-movie.html" rel="nofollow">who</a> had a run in with a Scion? :)

I'm waiting for news of the first plastic shrapnel fatalities.

My husband is frothing at the mouth for the new Challenger. 500 horsepower? It's just ludicrous! I'm sticking with my Jeep.

I have a less than vague awareness of this "Scion" thing, but I do like the new "retro" Mustangs quite a lot.

In fact, getting a convertible version with the largest engine possible and driving through the center of that whacko town in CA at 26 MPH with the top down, whilst smoking a full-flavor Marlboro Red feels very appealing at the moment.

I've been driving a cab for the past two years and read about the XB in Mickey Kaus' Files. Although I'm outside the demographic (and financial wherewithal) by ten years, I do agree with him that it would make an excellent taxi. It seems like that front 'bumper' is even more of a cow catcher than the first year model. Maybe send it to Foose.

I have a pet theory that automobile design lags behind office building design by about 20 years. Boxy buildings in the mid-60's means boxy cars in the mid-80's. And as I recall, the office buildings of the mid-80's had a rounder more stylish minimalism. I think my theory is holding. And I think revivalism (Mustang, etc.) is arriving right on schedule for the next few years.
