(At least one, Daniel Johnson in Commentary, meant it as a compliment.) His book is subtitled, "The *left-wing* case for a neoconservative foreign policy" (emphasis added). The Guardian may be as religiously left wing as the Church of England but it is the Independent that celebrates the true spirit of the born again fruit-cakes.
