On the unpronounceability of Ahmadinejad - I followed Ledeen's lead: Ahmadi Nejad. It's easy that way.

As for Terrye's point: If only Jimmy Carter had had any vision of what might come about from his failure to act way back when. But then again, if he had had vision, it would have been his vision, so he definitely would NOT have done anything about preventing a nuclear and fanatic Iran from ever arising.

I think a lot of Americans remember the taking of the embassy as well. That is when the word jihad entered our vocabulary. Imagine how different history might have been if we had dealt with those fanatics then. That might have something to do with the attitudes of the American people toward the crazy little man with the beard and the manic grin.

I think the Palestinians are convinced that if Iran nuked Israel... Allah would spare them, or they are convinced that since the afterlife is a brothel they have nothing to lose anyway.

It is interesting that Jimmy Carter has managed to cave for the mullahs and and pander to Hamas as well.

Democrats need to talk that old fellow into going home and building houses.

I can't help wondering if Ahmadinejad's belligerent comments about Israel aren't partly responsible for Hamas' victory this week and whether that wasn't part of his intention.

Do they think he's going to obliterate Israel for them? (Never mind the effect a nuclear attack on Israel would have on the palestinians)
