PJM needs a "printer-friendly" version of its pieces so that internetters can print out things for their moms to read.

No doubt the moonbats will take this statement of Mohammed (should they read it) as further evidence that Iraqis "aren't ready for democracy."

And yet those are very people who always vote with their emotions, not their minds. Go figure.

Mohammed was writing like a grown-up, if you ask me, not a cynical politico. I'm with him.

Good old Mohammed:

In spite of the wide variety of political bodies competing in the December elections, making speculations and estimations is not difficult at all when one realizes that most Iraqis will follow their emotions, rather than minds, when they vote.

;-)

I think he was being slightly disparaging of his fellow Iraqi voters here, but he needn't have been.

More than we like to admit, we all vote this way.

One thing that clued me into the fact that George Bush was a better candidate than Al Gore, in the 2000 election before I had any admiration for Bush at all, was that he appealed much more to my emotional intelligence (such as it is), and Gore just struck me as false, even creepy...

Yes, excellent work by Mohammed. I still find it a little confusing, but the trend towards support for one's country rather than just one's tribe is heartening!
