Simon writes mysteries has nothing to do with the fact that he is a mystery writer. If I saw him sitting at his keyboard, looking thoughtful, typing a sentence or two and then frowning and revising it, I could be quite certain, I could be <i>one hundred percent certain</i>, he was not <i>plotting</i> another mystery.
