And, I was just going to call the Gannon story "putz gate." What is it with the left? If Sideways walks with any Academy Awards, it's for that scene where one of the stars goes into the married couple's bedroom. While they're doing the missionary. With the lights on. And, in the process of trying to get his friend's wallet back ... you get to see the husband, naked, running down the street. In true fashion Hollywood is so desperate it's willing to show wangers on fat guys. (The movie doesn't deserve an academy award. But that scene is up there with the old William Holden/Audrey Hepburn taxicab scene, where he asks her "if she's a virgin." And, the Hollywood movies we know today, took off from there. What was it? Circa 1957?) Ya know, those schmatas on the poles in Central Park, when they come down ... could be fashioned into underwear. To commemorate this new revolution. Don't zipper it up, guys. Not for me!

I would die a happy man if I never read the word "Kerfuffle" again, in any context. "Kerfuffle" and "Gate" have both long ago "Jumped the Shark." Come to think of it, "Jumped the Shark" jumped the shark itself quite some time ago. Leaving aside the metaphysical impossibility of such a thing, it would be lovely never to hear or read any of these ridiculous words ever again.

"Methinks thou dost protest too much?"

On David Corn's blog this week, I took him to task (is that a cliche?...my bad) for using the overwroughtiron pot-calling-the-kettle-black expression. And ever since Bill O'Reilly mainstreamed the drinking-KoolAid metaphor, it's been time to put that one to rest.

So, there should be no laying out of data along Cartesian coordinates if one of the parameters being graphed is monetary in nature?

Well, this is a clear case of censorship and a blatant attempt to suppress first amendment rights. I think I'll call it SimonBayGate.
