		<description>Oddly enough (or not), my only active memory of the 1960 Democratic convention is Eleanor Roosevelt nominating Adlai for president. We liked Ike in my house (surprise!), but I&#039;ve always been drawn to the bookish, brainy types and Mrs. Roosevelt made him sound so appealing that I found I was disappointed when the Dems declined to give him a third bite.
