But that does not make everything about Islam wrong, nor does it give you free hand to implement whatever war on terrorism you see fit, and nor does it excuse the already commited transgressions of America and Israel (even if these transgressions are admittedly small, and we still agree that Israel and America are still, overall, two great and good nations).

The problem is that just like you can point out clear wrongs committed by Islam, the rest of the world can point out clear atrocities commited by America- in Guatemala, Chile, Panama, Vietnam, Abu Gharib, and countless thousands of others, including against our own citizens. So it is very easy for another nation to say, just as you are saying about Islam, that America is clearly evil (because we cleary are), and therefore any violence against America is authorized. Do you see how this is an escalating cycle of violence that will never end? We know that America is not ALL evil, so we need to convince other nations and cultures to see past our few blunders, and recognize our overall goodness. If we cannot convince them to see our goodness, they will hate us, and feel justified. Similarly, we need to look at Muslim culture as a whole, and see past the very small percentage of extremists and terrorists, or we will hate them, and feel justified. We must instead target muslim terrorists, and muslim terrorism, while loving muslim culture, and the goodness of our muslim friends.

The Islamo-Fascists are open for negotiation. Here are their terms. Elimination of Israel and the remaining Jews. They may keep a few around, they do come in handy now and then. Taliban style governments across the Arab and Persian world. By the way that includes Spain, er, excuse me, Andalusia.The dhimmi laws to be put in place anywhere a large population of Muslims live.Don’t let anyone say that they are without terms for negotiation.Just as Hitler spelled out his goals in Mein Kampf the radical Muslims have spelled out their goals in sermons and government pronouncements for the last 30 years. The fact that the liberal,er, excuse me, progressive elements of our society want to bury their heads in the sand does not make it untrue. As far as the suprise many pundits seem to show everytime a new batch of innocent non combatants are intentionally picked as targets they are just fooling themselves. What happenned in Russia will continue to happen worldwide because that is SOP. This is not an aberration. They will continue to do this until they are killed. They do not have a fall back position on their terms of surrender. They combine the worst aspects of Imperialism with the religous crusades. The sensitive approach will not work. If the “moderate ” Muslims won’t clean up this toxic waste we need to do it for them. If they see this as western arrogance then they must spell out how the will stop it. We have waited too long for their answer. If they won’t do it we have to. Because 9-11 signaled that we are on the hit list too. We can’t continue to accept their condolences when they turn around and give these animals the money and the training grounds to continue their operations.

The liberal establishment must blame the Israelis and the Russians for their misfortune. Not to do so would result in the awful realization that the war on terror is for real. Utopian Liberals prefer to believe that the Islamic nihilists are open to negotiation; we simply havenít offered them suitable terms. The moment they concede that Israel hasnít anything to really do with Islamic rage will be existentially unsettling. These liberals will suffer a harrowing dark night of the soul.

The John Kerry campaign is pervaded by the silly notion that most of the violence of the Islamic nihilists is due to Israelís alleged mistreatment of the Palestinians. This is one of the central reasons why a Kerry presidency would be a tragedy. The people around him simply fail to comprehend the true nature of today’s worldwide threat.
