I have a theory that humans are ‘hardwired’ to worry about the future. This was perfectly understandable back in the day when we had to get up out of bed in the cold cold dawn to hunt a mastodon; or pick up our hoe and plant grains in early March when – again – it was totally uncomfortable.

However, here we are, in the wealthiest, most comfortable civilization ever, and we continue to worry… about the weather (It’s going to CHANGE!!! OHMIGOD!!! WHERE CAN I BUY SOME CARBON!!!).
