My hackles are raised by the the ubiquity of the word ‘issues’. So-and-so is not livid with rage, he has ‘anger management issues’. Route 287 in northern New Jersey is often subject to ‘black ice issues’. The New York Mets still have ‘second base issues,’ although their bullpen issues seem to have been de-issued.

No one has problems or difficulties any more, just bloodless, nerveless ‘issues’.
