Just as an FYI, whose definition of intelligence are you referring to: Binet-Simon, Stern, Terman, Goddard, Yerkes, Spearman, Cattell … ? Have you ever heard of content, predictive, concurrent or construct validity, nomoligical networks etc. in order to substantiate you claim that “I” am confusing a construct like “manner” with a construct like “intelligence”. Maybe you want start all over again with Aristotles’ ta meta ta phusika, in particular books zeta, eta and theta. Enjoy the read! And for the record, neither Marcuse, nor Adorno, nor Horkheimer have ever been high on my priority list. Remember my previous post: It clearly indicates to what degree I’m a positivist. So your Marcuse comment totally misreads where I am coming from! But that is also too much of a philosophical topic for a superior historian like yourself (sorry, but I can’t help giggling about the degree to which you openly demonstrate with every post your lack of knowledge and your inability to read between the lines
