We are allowing “freedom of religion” even if it means the end of “freedom of any religion” except Islam. Read Bin Laden and Zawahiri. They are not men “who have hijacked a historic faith,” they are hyper-orthodox Muslims. To paraphrase Zolzinitsyn, radical Islam is “Islam practiced by experts.” We ignore this at our peril. It can be said that there are many “moderate” Muslims, but there is no “moderate” Islam.
