Some people don’t seem to understand that Alaska’s natural resources are owned by the citizens of Alaska. Oil companies pay royalties–taxes if you prefer–to the owner of the resource. That’s not redistribution, since the oil companies don’t own the oil in the ground, but pay for the right to extract it. It’s a quite simple concept. You might try learning it.
