Hell…meet hand basket.

Totalitarianism:

Where debates are “settled” even before they are discussed.

Where an entrenched media, doesn’t just bury the lead, or not nearly as much as the truth, anyway.

Where John Yoo and Jay Bybee get prosecuted and Black Panther thugs and ACORN felons do not.

Where local banks can have books examined with an electron microscope and Fannie’s and Freddie’s are swept under the rug.

Where citizens expressing their rights to free speech are slandered as “racist” and “teabaggers” and where one Cuban American politician is called a coconut (brown on the outside, white on the inside)…and that’s ok.

This is an America I do not recognize, I am a stranger in my own land. Who stands for this as acceptable behavior? Who accepts this as reasonable? Do classic liberals? Libertarians? Centrists? Independents? Moderates?

No man or woman of conscience can find this anything but deplorable.
