Dad is steelworker with some part-time businesses. Hobbies: hunting, fishing, dogsled racing. Oldest child finishes high school, then what? Harvard? Stanford? No, Army. #2 child: knocked up. Throw all these facts at your typical supercilious leftie and they scream “lower class,” and of course the Left is the self-appointed guardian of lower class interests. So for Sarah to reject the Left is an act of presumptuous ingratitude. The Left despises her in the same way, and for the same reason, that they vilified Clarence Thomas 20 years ago.
