P. Ami, The reason the founding fathers didn’t require term limits maybe because they didn’t see being a represenative of the people as a vocation. They themselves were landowners, businessmen, etc., who were in service to the country rather than earning a living in the congress. As to point two, nothing about term limits precludes anyone from lobbying the congress. A single term limit removes the cover of donating to the re-election campaign of the lobbied represenative. Any exchange of money would be seen for what it is, an illegal bribe. In my view, single term limits would put SERVICE back into government service more than any other solution to our biggest problem, the 535 people in the House and Senate. Regards
