It’s a clash of religions, really. The post-modern elites have cobbled together a new religion of their own, celebrating victimhood, multiculteralism, groupism, and faux environmentalism. Like any made-up religion, it’s real purpose is to empower the leaders. Palin’s life is pretty much a repudiation of most of their core beliefs, and it’s driving them batty.
