I never said that high IQ correlated with being a snob. I referred to “tv snobs” frequently found in Mensa who claim to be above watching KING LEAR on TV and one thinks perhaps they are rereading the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius and finds instead that they are watching football — or, in your case, getting sodden in a bar. Not a great way to protect your Alpha waves.

I admit to being a snob, especially with respect to louts who refer to me as “babe”.
