How he does it: Barack Obama shares his methods of escape
The inability or unwillingness of the Left to respect the difference between the public and private affairs of the Presidential candidates is utterly stunning.
Obama’s wife Michelle gave campaign speeches on behalf of her husband during the primaries. In doing so, she became a public figure. She became fair game for criticism.
Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Wright, was already a public figure, not only in Chicago but nationally as well. He has spoken out many times on many social and political issues and continues to do so. He is a public figure and fair game for criticism.
Gov. Palin’s spouse and children never (to my knowledge) gave a campaign speech to promote her selection as John McCain’s running mate. And as far as I am aware, they never injected themselves into the current Presidential election campaign prior to that event. Before they were involuntarily thrust into the public limelight, they were private figures. They were not fair game for the vicious attacks that were launched against them by the political Left.
The hypocrisy of the Left in this matter is further evidence that such people lack common sense and common decency. Have they no shame?
