The Kael Syndrome Returns: Why Democrats are in for a Big Surprise come November
With all due respect, I blogged about this two days ago: “Two predictions today: Sarah Palin will be the most vilified and despised vice-presidential candidate in the history of the country because she is a woman who is a Republican candidate for presidential office. (It’s bad enough that she’s a traitor to her sex by being a Republican; what’s worse, everybody just ‘knows’ the first woman elected to the White House is ‘supposed’ to be a Democrat.) And, John McCain will become the most vilified and despised president in the history of the country because he stopped the apotheosis of the Obamessiah. Leading the charge will be the ‘liberal’, ‘tolerant’, ‘progressive’ Democrats who populate mainstream media. I would like to be able to say that I think the reaction from the Democratic Establishment — politicians, ‘journalists’, professors, et al. — will be amusing. I think not. I think it might very well be horrifying.”
