The Kael Syndrome Returns: Why Democrats are in for a Big Surprise come November
The Dems are suffering a fourth quarter meltdown. Thet were supposed to be unbeatable in 2008 with the Iraq War, the downturn of the economy, and Bush’s dismal approval rating.
But it’s like the national champs playing the perenniel cellar dweller at home in a horrible upset. The favorite team can’t get a drive going, they bobble opportunities, and have squandered a 30 point advantage.
Now there’s two minutes left and the Republicans are within a touchdown (who would believe it?!!). Worse yet the opposing team (GOP) has the ball.
The media (home team fans) are freaking out. They can’t believe what’s happening. They can’t even think rationally. (Well, that’s my excuse for them)
{BTW Self-hating Boomer, the probe who said “nonsequiter” and “analyze” in the original Star Trek series was “Nomad”. Veejeer was the probe/entity in the first movie (although they both suffered from dislusional premises, so your analogy is still valid!)
Sorry, had to say something because I’m just a geek too. LOL}
