The Maoist explains herself: egg, face at the White House
I recommend a book to those interested in Mao’s “political philosophy.” It is “Mao: The Unknown Story” by Jung Chang and Jon Halliday. It is extensivly researched and lays out a lot of the history of the Mao’s takeover of China and his later life. The short version: Mao was despicable in every way – he abandoned at least one of his wives and his children, connived his way into control of the Chinese Communist Party, used torture and terror as a convenient means to *his* ends, and thought little or nothing of killing supporters, let alone enemies, if they got in his way. Even the early founders of the Chinese Communist Party thought he was scum. Mao was all about Mao – he didn’t really care about Communism or the people; they were just a means for him to take total control of China. Just a wild guess, but I think Ms. Dunn has not read this book. Maybe if she actually had learned something about Mao, she might not have made the stupid statements she made. Maybe I’ll send her a copy.
