It has finally dawned on me why I have been a conservative my entire adult life. I grew up Catholic. And a Catholic mother is not bested by any other group in the guilt trip arena. Many are her equals, but none are superior. And “punitive liberalism”, aka leftists, aren’t fit to polish her shoes. With all respects to Rush. So I am immune to all others.
