Meh. I’m not a big fan of stuff like this. I nearly rolled my eyes right out of my head when it got to the part about the longtime receptionist that always gave candy to the granddaughter. Just a little too perfect.

But let’s play along! If I were that grandfather I wouldn’t have even bothered with a letter, much less lending her the money. As much as I too appreciate the sentiment, sweet Ashley would’ve probably found herself in such a situation regardless of who happened to be in the White House at the time, and that’s 90% of the letter right there.
