I dunno… call me a patsy. But, if I am breaking into my own house, I would be perfectly prepared to be confronted by police. In a way, I would be glad to know that “the system” worked. (The system being, either my alarm system, or an alert neighbor.)

Granted, I can’t imagine what I would have said to the responding officers. But, I would have patiently waited until they let me know whether it was going to be a problem. “If you need me to come down to the station, just let me grab my cell phone.”

Then, maybe the next time, I would NOT FORGET MY KEYS. Life’s rough. (Especially when you’re a race-baiting has-been suffocating under the weight of his own diminishing relevance.)
