I visited McHenry a few months ago. It was smack dab in the middle of a weekday and so there were only about 4 or 5 of us in the theater. At the end of the show when the National Anthem played, the old codger volunteer tour guide started yelling at us to sing! Well I can’t sing and absolutely never sing aloud in public — I put my hand over my heart and mouth the words but I do NOT sing, period — and the old bastard seemed to get pissed at that. I’m more patriotic than most and quite eagerly got myself inserted into MY generation’s war, but that dumb old bastard probably shouldn’t shouldn’t be haranguing paying tourists.
