wow! what a great article. I am an American by choice and I refuse to hyphenate it. I was born in Iran in an Armenian family and grew up in Kuwait. So according to liberals I should be Armenian-Iranian-kuwaiti-American….but I refuse, I ran away from all those countries because I wanted my children to experience American culture and what a great culture it is.
I do get the same question all the time, “but where are you really really from?” because I have an accent, I say I am an American with an accent
Thank you for this great article.
