“Instead of trying to fix racism with more racism, why don’t we just try equality for once?”

Two equally capable runners are in a ten mile marathon, one is given shoes, the other is not. The runner with shoes blazes ahead, but the runner without quickly falls behind. When the runner with shoes reached the sixth mile, the judges – realizing that the runner without shoes was so far behind as to be unable to compete – drove the runner without shoes to the sixth mile too.

At this point though, the shoeless runner had bloodied, torn up feet, and even though he was officially at the same position, he quickly fell behind again. He was able to go a little further, but there was no way he could win without some bandages and a pair of shoes.
