I like what Walter Williams wrote a few decades ago: that the Klan could not have come up with a better set of laws to keep African-Americans poor than have the Democrats with their welfare state and support of affirmative action. Of course, the collectivist mentality and the racist mentality are one and the same, so what do you expect from Democrats?
