I was appalled,but not surprised, that these sort of antics have occurred at my alma mater. Yale, like most Ivies, is burdened with faculty born of the radicalism of the 1960s who are intellectually imprisoned by their leftist beliefs. I attended a conference at Yale on “sustainability.” The subject of nuclear power came up, and the response of the Dean of the School of Forestry was essentially that he had spent his life opposed to nuclear power, and would only support it if a laundry list of things happened (i.e., never). So much for open-mindedness about reducing reliance on fossil fuels and carbon loading of the atmosphere.
