Mr. Kimball, I’m interested in the idea that in the modern creative world, anything– no matter how objectionable– can be shorn from its moral content by merely calling it art. In the spirit of this, I would like to declare Robert Mugabe’s economic and social policies a wonderful performance piece! And perhaps the Iraq War could be labeled thus, allowing the liberals to *finally* get excited about it.
