“Elitism” is not “I’m better than you!”, it’s “I’m better AT DOING SOME THINGS THAN YOU.” No one argues that Tiger Woods isn’t an “elite” golfer; he’s among the best of the best at knocking the bumpy white ball down the fairway and into the little hole. However if we’re on a sinking ship it’s women and children first then Tiger and I go rock-paper-scissors for who gets in the lifeboat next. His golfing skill has no bearing on the matter.
