For years the Hollywood Left regaled us with TV series and movies in which an EEEEVIL corporate “Mr. Big” controlling billions of dollars sought to kill or crush anyone who stood between him and his plans to enslave or immiserate the rest of us — the “Take over the World” meme. (“Mr. Tubbs”, said one such biggie to show the “Miami Vice” hero his omniscience and vast reach, “you have exactly $667 in your bank account”.)

Then there’s the EEEEEVIL CIA hunting down anyone who might expose their EEEEEEVIL schemes to support the crushing and fascistic Big Brother State. (The Bourne Series), e,g,). Or the vicious McCarthyites savaging their political opponents as unpatriotic or dangerous.

Now comes Barack Obama, acting exactly as those villainous archetypes did, and where are the Hollywood players to expose the evil Man Behind the Curtain? They’re supporting him.

But I wonder: will the Wall Street moguls, Hollywood “players” and “old money” really allow Barack to destroy their wealth? Or do they plan to foment opposition to Barack and Michelle with an ultimate fate less to do with impeachment , than more along the lines of Mussolini and his mistress Clara Petacci?

Richard Nixon had to barricade himself the White House and its grounds with hundreds of commandeered city buses to discourage the milliion+ anti-war protesters on the Mall from dropping by for a friendly chat.

It could happen again.
