Tom McClintock has been speaking words from “God’s mouth to his lips” for years. He challenged Arnold for governor at the time of Gray Davis’ recall in 2003. Many committed conservatives pulled the lever for Schwarzenegger simply to insure a “Republican” would be elected. The Democrat candidate was Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante, a radical progressive committed to “reclaiming the Northern Lands” for Mexico through the La Raza Group.

Underfunded and facing the movie top box office king was an uphill struggle from the beginning for McClintock. Still, he polled 13% denying Arnold a majority plebiscite.

One can only imagine how California would have turned out had McClintock taken the governor’s chair in 2003. Even with the dysfunctional assembly and union controlled lobbies, I have to believe that the Golden State would not be as tarnished as we find today.

I wasn’t surprised that McClintock took the lead in his condemnation of Calderon. Republicans should listen to plain spoken conservatives like McClintock and Chris Case of New Jersey. The public is starving for the truth, and the truth is that Calderon and Obama are bogus in their denunciation of the Arizona law.
