But now comes something really amusing. In an effort to win back the support of “fiscal moderates,” Obama yesterday endorsed the idea of creating a special debt and deficit reducing commission. But guess what, it wouldn’t convene until after next November’s election. In the meantime, he is counting on Democrats to muster enough votes to raise the federal debt ceiling further into the stratosphere of economic irresponsibility.
Politico quotes Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), the Senate Budget Committee chairman: “The president is demonstrating exactly the kind of leadership we need to tackle our nation’s long-term fiscal challenges.” Right! And you, Dear Reader, are Marie of Romania. No, Politico was correct when it suggested that Obama’s latest gambit “risks being seen as just a ploy to win over swing Democratic senators.” You bet it does. Any fool can see that. So what about the White House? Do they really think we’re too stupid to see what they are up to?
I wonder. It’s not entirely clear who’s minding the shop. More and more, one hears the criticism that the president is too cool for school: that he is arrogant, disengaged, out of touch. “Narcissistic” is a term many of us used when observing candidate Obama on the hustings. Obama is the time-delay president. Something bad, really bad, happens — a Muslim fanatic guns down forty people at Ft. Hood, say, or an al Qaeda-trained terrorist tries to blow up a commercial jet over Detroit — and what does the president of the United States do? Nada. He “monitors” the situation from afar. He takes several days to respond in public, and when he does it’s all the obfuscation all the time. An “isolated extremist.” Yemen is a poor country. I’m on holiday out here, back soon. Obama’s behavior during a crisis puts me in mind of Harry Graham’s little ditty “The Englishman’s Home”:
I was playing golf the day
That the Germans landed;
All our men had run away,
All our ships were stranded;
And the thought of England’s shame
Very nearly spoiled my game.
No wonder Scott Brown is going to Washington.

‘They’ think we are realllllly st00pid apparently (after all ‘they’ won).
More barely reported news:
‘White-House Party-Crasher’ Salahis to plead the Fifth
Yeah, THOSE Salahis 0bama met in 2005
Who *IS* our ‘PRESIDENT’?
America, gird your loins.
Well, I was just sittin’ here, chewin’ on a piece of straw and lookin’ up at the big blue sky, strokin’ my dog’s head and feelin’ lazy and and, well, not sleepy…but, you know…the place where you’re between sleep and peaceful.
And, I got to thinkin’ that what I really needed was a nudge. You know, just somethin’ that would push the blood through a little faster and I wondered what would give me a good nudge, better’n somethin’ else that might just get me to look up, but not get up.
And, I came upon the notion that maybe the most nudgefying thing would be to lie to me…and then tell my I was stupid for not believing the lie. That’s a whopper with a twist.
You see, my Nudge Theory, is that most of the time, I just listen to folks go on and on about how they are gonna save the world, and fix the planet and build their big castles in the wide blue sky. Even my lazy dog dreams, I see his feet kickin’ and hear him whimperin’ in the middle of the night…fighting’ against pretend attackers or bears or somethin’
But if you tell me that you have figured out why something needs to be fixed on my land, and you have done all the studies and I need to give you my money to fix it, if I find out you lied that’s bad. But when you tell me and everyone I know that I’m stupid because I didn’t believe your lies…one of us is in for a moment of some soul reflection.
See, my “Nudge Theory” is that if you are spending your time getting people to believe your lies, by insulting them into capitulation, I ought to be nudging you into having a conscience.
Now, I don’t really know how to do this by myself, since your lie/insult campaign went all over to everyone we knew. So, I have to remove the effect of the “availability cascades”…where you tell the lie, insult me for not believing it…and go around to everyone pointing a finger at me and trying to get them to scoff at how stupid I am for not believing a lie…so that they will believe the lie…in order to avoid bein’ called stupid. It’s not that they actually believe the lie either, they just don’t want to be laughed at, anymore than the next fella.
So, the “availability cascade” needs to be reversed and undone, in order to “nudge” people back to …well, the truth. Except, the liar who adds insult to perjury…says, there’s no more need now for discussion, the matter is “settled” and anyone who doesn’t believe the lie and the insult…needs to wear a tin foil hat.
And he gets all his friends to write about it, in order to cover up the lie and to hurl more insults. So, you got yourself a good cyber-balkanization goin’.
Now, you got your lie, your insult, your coverup and your balkanized breeding grounds for more lies, more insults, more coverups, basically a manure spreader filled with rocket fuel.
One good thing about my “nudge” theory. It won’t cost nobody a trillion dollars to tell the truth. Lies are expensive creatures, like a bull with a tapeworm…you can’t feed it enough to keep it alive and you can’t afford to stop feeding it for fear it will die.
The Intrade.com odds of Obamacare passing have crept up to 1 in 3.
If the Democrats slip the bill through, they might ignite a firestorm that they would sorely regret.
Nevertheless, the right, celebrating over Massachusetts and heaping scorn on Obama, just might have taken its eye off the ball.
They think we are VERY stupid, and they’ve got the Presidency to prove it.
The AA team -Ayers/Axelrod’s Audacity was to believe that the electorate would vote for a motor-mouth so eloquent he could make college girls weep and TV anchormen tingle up their leg into the White House without ever checking his record. And it worked!
The Audacity of Hoax team figured they could talk about change, and new directions, and post-racism, and job creation, while deliberately embarking on legislation calculated to tear down our economic system and, take over our health and education systems, choke any growth of free-enterprise, and put a socialistic government in place while we were all too stupid to notice. And it worked.
Except that they were so euphoric in their success that they tried to jam it all through in a hurry, abandoning all the transparency and bi-partisanship they had promised – and blew their cover.
S Norman Thomas is famously supposed to have said: “The American people will never vote for Socialism.”. So the retro-Communists from Chicago scammed themselves into the Oval Office. But Alinksy’s Rules for Radicals didn’t include one that told them not to overdo it.
So, yeah. We confirmed their opinion that we are stupid. But then , Socialism is a stupid and thoroughly discredited religion, and those who are dumb enough to embrace it are too eager to reapply it.
They overlooked the old truth: Fool us once, fool us twice……
In my humble opinion, President Obama is not qualified for the job he holds and is therefore dangerous. He certainly has no sense of what it means to be the President of the United States.
He seems to believe that he’s running a university full of left-wing professors who habitually use their naive students to further their agenda. There’s something sophomoric and, as you say, narcissistic about him and those around him. They lack an adult understanding of the real world. They have not yet learned that “theories” have consequences when applied to real life.
On the other hand, the air of thuggish Chicago-style politics hangs about him. At times he seems a bully. I can believe that he made a “great community” organizer, much like the old mobsters who organized and “protected” their neighborhoods.
Barack Obama is an economic illiterate—and he is scaring the hell out of the purple state voters. They will be mostly voting for Republican candidates for minimally the next two election cycles. The purple staters will do anything to marginalize Obama. Only Democrats who publicly renounce him have any chance of being elected outside of the bluest of areas.
Stupid enough to put them in charge.
But for a few minor twists and turns and one great detour ala Reagan this nation has been hard on the path to self destruction since FDR.
My parents, I’m now 60, sat by and watched me ill educated and brainwashed in a Kansas school system and did nothing. Same with most of my peers in my 400 strong graduating class. The brain washing really got going later at KU.
All that is needed for evil to prosper ….. right? We have the government we deserve.
Ignorance is not bliss unless death is bliss. A huge majority of Americans are utterly clueless as to what is going on in the halls of power, what has been done to their minds and souls by the social architects monkeying with this society, or even who they themselves are.
We can’t even keep our marriages together. We certainly can’t hold a nation together.
“more and more people have come to understand that Obama is not the Moses who was going the lead us through the sea of red ink by which we are surrounded”
He’s more like the Pharaoh who’s trying to enslave us.
The most “intellectual” president we’ve ever had is dumber than a stump and so are the radicals he has surrounding him.
It’s the agenda, and they think we are too stupid to see exactly what their hidden agenda is. When someone whom we (those who voted for this idiot) have entrusted with the most powerful position in the world keeps pounding the drum to destroy the nation AND her people, the American people will answer the call to arms to save her.
November is going to be a political blood bath, count on it!
Since Obama has about half the nation thinking he is doing a good job, then the answer is,,,,,they think we are half stupid. Obviously the guv is addressing the stupid half, not us smarter than the average bear folks.
Well, if Obama thinks that the right wing Republicans and the Jesus freaks in this country who want to impose their religion on all of us, then he would be right, they are stupid. Maybe you should write more about how Bush caused us to suffer in the worst economy since the Great Depression, and less time bashing Obama for some imagined sins. The people of this country should understand how Bush’s tax cuts for the rich and illegal wars got us into this mess, not Obama, who is working hard every day to end the crisis.
Depends on who you mean by “we.”
Harris Tweed @ #6 is on to something. IMHO I think the current POTUS is incompetent. He may be very smart, he may be very eloquent (although not lately) and he may be very friendly, but he simply does not have the experience to be POTUS. Moreover, he shows an uncanny inability to gain that experience by learning on the job. He just keeps blaming Bush. (Oh BTW He needs to stop the “last eight years” mantra, because the last eight now include his first one.) In any event, we are in for a dangerous three years.
Barack Obama: the great community organizer. Singlehandedly responsible for the organization of perhaps millions of Tea Party activists.
Obama has all the right to think Americans are exceptionally stupid. After all they elected him, an opportunist without a record of running anything, except an elections campaign.
I don’t think the Americans are stupid, but that American media are stupid even more then they are corrupt. They fell in line promoting empty suit, forgetting that they live in the country he might eventually run.
Oh life is a glorious cycle of song,
A medley of extemporanea;
And love is a thing that can never go wrong;
And I am Marie of Romania…….dorothy parker
you and Dot are both spot on…
We, the American people have got to accept the fact that Obama’s vision of America does not coincide with ours. Scott Brown’s election tells me that maybe we are waking up from the media-fed delusion that Obama was the leader this country needed. He is all sound and fury and signifies absolutely nothing.
Obama is doing exactly what he, Wright, Ayers, Farrakhan and other Black Liberationists want to do …. destroy our Financial System …. thus destroying our way of life.
The Guy is an anti-American Communist. Period. End of story.
Well, 52% of voters elected him even though his qualifications were so meager they could have printed on a postage stamp. Voters kept sending Ted Kennedy. They elect Nancy Pelosi, Arlen Specter, and Harry Reid time after time. They keep dumping more and more money down the rat hole called public education. They breathlessly follow the antics of the Hollywood freak show as somehow being more real than real life. They still follow the ravings of the state-run media.
Betting on the continuing moronic stupidity of Americans and their political class is a not unwise move. To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, you can fool enough of the people enough of the time.
“The Intrade.com odds of Obamacare passing have crept up to 1 in 3.
If the Democrats slip the bill through, they might ignite a firestorm that they would sorely regret.”
Firestorm? No, I’m thinking metalstorm. Mostly lead.
Well, they’ve got brains like Vinny B. voting for them, so they must imagine we are stupid, indeed.
VinnieB, your first sentence makes no sense at all. I’m not even commenting on the content, just the grammar.
It could be coincidence, but the economy was doing quite well until the Democrats took control of Congress in 2006. Either way, the Democrats have owned it completely for over a year, and unemployment has gotten worse. This Bush’s fault theme is way past its sale date.
Just watched Bill Moyers on PBS, moderating a debate between two liberals regarding the Massachussetts special election -
Now I know what happened – no, it’s not a referendum on president’s policies, as applied so far, or on his larger intentions -
It’s the media that are unfair and mean with Obama, and don’t explain correctly that what he wants is good for the people, but people just don’t want to get it -
All three guys were simply unreal -
No one seems to understand that Obama knows ‘exactly’ what he is doing. ‘That’, is the problem.
Thanks Roger! I always like to end the day with a good laugh. But with this piece there was a surprise as well.

How stupid do they think we are? Well, 53 percent of us voted for Barack Hussein Obama, so that’s one indication right there.
Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me tw— … Hey, look! Ponies!
With the slow death of the MSM and the meteoric rise of FOX and the rightroots, not so stupid anymore.
Can’t control the message, can’t control the people.
So we’ve been getting a little astroturfing from the far-left lately — Desperation.
Only Democrats who publicly renounce him have any chance of being elected outside of the bluest of areas.–David Thomson
**Like, say, Massachusetts? Looks like even the bluest are having none of it anymore.
My favorite Obama stat: a party in the White House every three days for all of 2009.
And we thought Clinton ran the White House like a frat house….
This morning on Sunday show Axelrod said that the people “don’t know what’s in the bill” is why they oppose it. Just about choked on my coffee at the audacity of that statement. How stupid do they think we are?
“The Intrade.com odds of Obamacare passing have crept up to 1 in 3.
If the Democrats slip the bill through, they might ignite a firestorm that they would sorely regret.”
More like the Mother of All S***storms. We’ll see, but it’s already almost February, the clock is ticking louder and louder, and Donk congressmen are getting more nervous by the day. Even if Pelosi is actually stupid enough to attempt reconciliation–and never underestimate either her arrogance or stupidity–that’ll still take weeks–weeks she really doesn’t have. In the meantime, the weather will be getting warmer in DC and all across the fruited plain…and much more favorable for massive demonstrations.
If Obama thinks he’s just had a really f***ed-up week, he’d better arrange to be out of the country the week ObamaCare passes over the objections of the American people. His Obamian Majesty is going to be facing “marching, charging feet, boy” this spring and summer on a scale not seen since Vietnam and, very likely, the biggest electoral tsunami since 1932.
#14 Vinny B.
Don’t worry, I’m not trying to impose my religion on you; you’d make a lousy Christian. Hell, you’re not even an intelligent, thoughtful troll. Did you ever notice that the economy really started to tank after the Democrats took over Congress? Bush’s tax cuts actually increased revenue to the government. The people who fight our wars are risking their lives so you don’t actually have to find out what it’s like to live under sharia. You’d never survive.
Obama proves, as usual, than an officeholders behavior reflects their past behavior in office and not how they campaign. As a state senator Obama voted ‘present’ innumerable times, and as US Senator Obama was also absent a great deal and spent most of his time running for president.
Obama’s actions as president reflect his past behavior in office. His actions as head of state have been of the form of the permanent campaign rather than a proper head of state. His actions as chief executive officer has been to duck responsibility and hand control over to congress. Obama can’t escape his nature.
“The president is demonstrating exactly the kind of leadership we need to tackle our nation’s long-term fiscal challenges.”
Any housewife could handle that challenge-all we have to do is stop spending! Reassess what are true needs and what are wants. The true needs are few and far between.
This president is the same young state senator who in the Illinois legislature consistantly voted “Present”. We tried to tell people that this was the sign of a vacuous and insincere personality. We tried to tell people he was not a leader. Now everybody understands, but it is too late. He cannot change.
“How Stupid Do They Think We Are?”
As I learned in the military, never ask a question that you don’t want to hear the answer to!
When did it all start going south in terms of public perception? Massachusetts. No, not Scott Brown in January. Obama nimbly employed his silver-tounge in a summer press conference throwaway line in which he gratuitously insulted the Cambridge Police. “I don’t have all the facts but….” These were people who voted for him! This demonstrated to many independents that maybe there was something to the “bitter clingers” accusation from the primary season. For the first time, even the mainstream media had to admit that the substance beneath Obama’s rhetotric could be a bit thin at times. More importantly, the ensuing furor and silly spectacle of a beer summit threw him off of the launch of his health care message for long enough that the delays pushed into vacation breaks and necessiated several unseemly deals with holdout senators. Without all of this, Scott Brown may not have had as many timely issues to run on in January.
As Charles Krauthammer has said.
Don’t pay any attention to what he says.
It’s what he does.
The high watermark of Obamunism was Christmas Eve when the Senate passed obamacare. But the next day came the undie bomber and the “chickens came home to roost”. The rubes saw all the bowing and apologizing didn’t keep the jihadis from trying to kill us. Nor did they think the “system” worked. The looming circus of the KSM in NYC trial got even less palatable. Plus the Cornhusker Kickback started to get processed and the Union cadillac tax dodge made everybody even sicker. A crappy economy, the faux global warming, a disdainful president. How many people now admit they voted for Carter? We are about to witness the biggest progressive flame out ever.
26. misanthropicus: “what he wants is good for the people, but people just don’t want to get it.”
Yeah, we, the people, are so stupid, we don’t know what is good for us. We need some wisemen to tell us. We should look to that Chairman in that far away land half a century ago: he made people do what he said was good for them. He re-educated the counter-revolutionaries, otherwise known as “we, the people”; and killed off 27 million of those who “don’t want to get it”.
Do these people know what the hell they were talking about? What the implications were: what he wants is good for the people, but people just don’t want to get it.
If the people don’t want to get it, shouldn’t the wise ones explain the good to them, instead of ram the damned thing thru the back door using briberies and threats?
21. Errol Phillips: “Obama is doing exactly what he, Wright, Ayers, Farrakhan and other Black Liberationists want to do …. destroy our Financial System …. thus destroying our way of life. The Guy is an anti-American Communist. Period. End of story.”
There’s stupid … and then there’s PJM stupid.
Roger, you’ve found your audience!
Mr. President, the suspect is in custody. He was caught on the plane when his bomb failed to ignite.
Good. Has he been read his rights?
By “we” I mean not only the American people at large but also Obama’s colleagues in the House and Senate, the folks who at the end of the day will determine exactly how much of the administration’s campaign of “shock-and-awe statism” will pass into law.
Yeah, the American public is explained easily enough….
I forced myself to read the NYT editorial linked to in your piece (which is
quite good–not the editorial, your piece). I loved this:
“To our minds, it is not remotely a verdict on Mr. Obama’s presidency,…”
and later
“The president is fighting hard for a consumer financial protection agency, in part because he sees it as one element of financial reform that people will understand.”
That people will understand…
It is the minds of NYT editors that are remote, they should seek them out and rewrite
the editorial. Although I guess, should they find them, it is unlikely to improve much.
I am from the Midwest and, apart from four years spent at college in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I have always lived in the Midwest. I was an undergraduate at Harvard during the 1970s. I learned a great deal about the world and my fellow Harvard students while dining with them over lunch or dinner in the cafeteria. During my freshman year, when dining with Easterners, I took particular delight in telling them that in my Midwestern hometown the stagecoach came through town at mid-day. While telling them this tall tale I would carefully watch their faces. More often than not, they completely believed me for about ten seconds. Then they realized, with embarrassment, I was pulling their leg.
I have concluded that those who spend too much time on the east or west coasts sincerely believe that those of us living in “fly-over land” are, indeed, stupid. Oddly, enough some of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met–people who need to know how world affairs may affect their livelihood–are farmers.
God save our Republic.
In #14 Vinny B you have the perfect example of the STUPIDITY of the people who elected the Lying Mohammedan BOGUS POTUS in the first place. Except where many have woken up seen the light and regret their mistake when they have seen him exposed for exactly what he is Left Wing brain dead moonbats like Vinny are still bleating the old “it’s all Bush’s fault” mantra of the deluded true believer and Messiah worshiper. I wonder, and not in a racist way at all, but as a point of interest if Vinny is also Black as it has been revealed that of the 96% of Blacks who voted for the LIAR originally virtually ALL of them STILL support him.
Incredibly stupid. this is a country replete with dolts that voted for Obama, made Madonna a millionaire for simulating public masturbation;and did the same for the vicious creep ,EMINEM who was even pronounced a “genius” by the NY Times’ Frank Rich. These are the same fools who thought that they could afford $400,000, houses with no money down, and no adverse economic consequences. It’s no wonder the marxoid camarilla running Obama’s teleprompter thought it was time to finish off the job started by cultural rot,and greed, and turn these imbeciles into welfare slaves.Their mistake was that there weren’t enough docile cretins to reach critical
mass(despite the use of ilegal immigration and voter fraud)to swell its ranks. They also forgot to neutralize the new media which enable the nonsheeple to organize, and stop them(for now).
Stupid enough to vote for Obama, that’s how stupid they think we are. Unfortunately some of that is true, sigh.
We don’t need a bipartisan deficit reducing commission.
We already have one.
It’s called the United States Congress.
Congress spends the money. They know what they need to do to cut the deficit. We already know that they aren’t going to listen to a commission unless the commission blesses higher taxes.
This is all about political cover for more taxes and more spending. Perhaps the good Senator Brown can call Obama on this.
26. misanthropicus:
Just watched Bill Moyers on PBS, moderating a debate between two liberals regarding the Massachussetts special election
You have a stronger stomach than me.
I’ve come to the conclusion that O really doesn’t know what he’s doing. He really isn’t that smart. And neither ate his advisers.
The basic understanding of human nature and economics is missing.
It troubles me that this guy has his finger on the nuclear button.
#14 VINNY B.What does the B stand for? BOZO? You probably think EMINEM is “genius” (see above).Obama is an affirmative action dummy activated by left-wing plutocrats such as Soros. He is in no way qualified to run this country for them, and petulant, and stymied, he now turns on the Wall st. banking scum that put him in power. Go on Obama, bite ‘em in the leg! Wait till they stop donating cash to this poodle and the demtards, and watchthe doggie stop and beg!. The ironies are delcious,as is watching his hysterical supporters lose what little mental stability they had.Don’t EVER go back to the circus Vinny the BOZO,it’s great fun to watch your displays of rabid dementia at PJM.
Yo Vinny, do yourself a favor and wise up –that crappola of yours is so far off base it is only gonna work against you from now on. Your bumper-sticker reality didn’t even last the year. If your president were to fire Axelprod and Ephemeral and hire Dick Cheney and Karl Rove in the morning, the stock market would be up a thousand points by noon –and the unemployment numbers would start nose-diving. That mean anything to ya ?
“Mr. Dooley says,”
Ztormtra is right on at 27!!!
But to answer your question: “How Stupid…..?” I would suggest they think we are Lotsa Stupid!!!!!!” i.e., stupid enough to take the bait.
Example:
When the proles are treated with arrogance by the narcissist leader, the muffled whimpering charge from the right is that Obama is a “narcissist” who exhibits “arrogance.” Oh great!!!!
Meanwhile, the process whereby the continuous and relentless contempt that the President of the United States spews upon the citizenry is breath-taking (In the literal sense as well as the figurative) to experience and to watch. The man lies with complete confidence that he must be believed and his lies swallowed (in subdued silence) by both the elected and the electorate. His and his minions’ grotesque contempt for America’s citizens, and for what America itself stands, (and not his insipid and vapid narcissism and arrogance,) is what is important.
Keep your eye on the ball. Our hope lies in the fact that just because you have silenced a person, does not mean you have convinced him…..ok, her.
Make no mistake:the personal contempt that Obama and his lackeys have for the citizens of this country especially those who supported and voted for him, (“Loyalists take note)as well as those those who did not, and as well as for their rights is not the invention of the present day government. It is the hallmark of every tyrant recorded in history.
This contempt is not just a by-product of the 2008 election, it is endemic to the policies of the “officials”–both elected and appointed with or without the advice and consent of the electorate or their representatives. These are the people who roam the “hallowed halls” of government and who rely upon “the fix” to ensure their positions of power. And who have found it every time they need it in Obama’s politics.
Meanwhile, each time the President snorts out his relentless and continuous contempt for the electorate with speech after speech of lies and jive, he can be confident that the fear of being labled “racist” is enough to ensure compliance.
If the very real consequences of that smear (and I DO not mean the consequence of having a “free beer” at the White House) is not enough to scare the populace into compliance, the very real prospect of the TSA’s thugs’ knock on the door in the middle of night will certainly be a clear motivator for the silence Obama and his minions need in order to ensure compliance, and ultimately complicity, in their programs. They have, you must remember, what it takes, and they WILL use it!!!!
Note that these expressions of contempt are not just confined to the office of the Presidency. Nothing is too petty to be spared that smug contempt from echoing throughout “the government” as one Senator ritualistically humiliates a General, instructing him how she wants to be properly addressed by him, while another explains to interloping females over the radio how they are to behave if they aspire to the class of “Ladyship.” Evidently, the choke chain is really a lot shorter than we thought.
Good grief, all that is missing in this is the togas!!!
Surely it is time to read the Playbook!!!!
Meanwhile the petitions of the peoples’ representatives for the documents which ensure immunity for the thugs who intimidate voters are ignored with impunity by the Attorney General whose job it is to insure our liberties are protected. When this happens, it is indeed time to read the playbook.
And it’s not as though the playbook is not out there in plain sight. Surely, we do not have to be surprised over and over by the obvious. If you are waiting for a liberal outraged reaction to Krystalnacht, you’ll wait a long time.
It is not a matter of how stupid they think we are, it is a matter of how SILENT. So maybe it is time to read their Playbook!!!!
It’s not as though it isn’t still available in print in translation. (I like Mannheim’s) It’s even free for the reading on Kindle.
At least it will be until Obama musters enough votes to make the Supreme Court back down. Then the juggernaut will move on, throwing its own “designated scapegoat of the day, the week, the month” under the bus as needed. As Tom Leher sang, “WHO’s NEXT??????”
And if you think that satire will save us, keep in mind, Mencken is long gone, even though FireSign Theatre and Monty Python, thanks to Google, are still “Being There.”
Read the playbook!!!
As to whether or not anybody is “stupid” or not not, keep in mind, Obama was absolutely right when he used the words of any other tin-pot tyrant: “I can do that if I wanna and I wanna!!!” i.e., “I WON” However, I would suggest there is a corollary here in America under the terms of the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence, and that is,
“There are always more chains than barking dogs!!!!!!”
Finally , it’s important to not forget who is at present third in line for the Presidency of the United States(behind Joe Biden) until January of 2013.
God help us all.
Mr. Dooley
#2 cfbleachers. Good post.
“Do they really think we’re too stupid to see what they are up to?” Does it matter any more? I don’t see anyone in authority (Congress, SCOTUS, Constitutional lawyers) making any attempt to stop them. They’re like the armed gunman who has 3 weapons and lots of ammunition. What do you think his perception is when his kidnap victim says to him, “Do you really I’m too stupid to see what you’re up to?” If he doesn’t die laughing, he’ll just proceed to kill, rob, etc…..whatever he kidnapped them for….the analysis had better stop and people in authority might want to consider fulfilling the conditions of the oaths they took. Or not. It doesn’t much matter any more apparently.
There is a God, who influences events here on earth, and She has one Hell of a sense of humor:
The Demoncrats reach the victorious end of their
Long March just as the country goes bankrupt,
and their propaganda arm, the MSM, is bypassed
by the Blogosphere.
On the Hi-Tech front, there are enough innovations, both nascent and suppressed,
to power a renaissance of the manufacturing
sector of the US economy.
The next few years are going to be Interesting
Times, indeed.
21. Errol Phillips @21:
Yup.
Mr.Kimball:
“Just how stupid do Obama and his top advisors think we are? By “we” I mean not only the American people at large but also Obama’s colleagues in the House and Senate, the folks who at the end of the day will determine exactly how much of the administration’s campaign of “shock-and-awe statism” will pass into law.”
For the electorate, we were stupid enough to put them in charge, but then they are stupid enough to prove how stupid the electorate was.
It has a nice logic to it, huh? Like a circular firing squad organized on round-robin principles…or a dude with his head up his own behind.
Hey Vinny B. (#14)…take a breath already, your tired old talking points that have been spouted day after day during President Bush’s second term have lost their power of persuasion. Most people, with the exception of committed Obamabots I suppose, have begun to understand how shallow and uninformed Barry O. is about just about everything. For the record the economy under President Bush was doing just fine until the fed got involved with housing, thank you Fannie and Freddie, Chris Dodd, Blarney Fwank and all the rest. The unemployment was hovering around 5 percent, basically full employment. What it is now? Care to guess? In my state we’re hovering at around 13.5 percent. Thank you Barry. Get a clue, get a life, don’t be a drone, ask intelligent questions, look for truth instead of grandiose speeches full of blah blah blah.

Roger, you’ve found your audience! [...]
Joe, the stupidissimo slot on this thread was free and you quickly filled it – congrats -
Still, if can focus on the bellow POLITICO story:
[...] Gibbs: ‘Right decision’ to read underwear bomber his rights -
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs on Sunday defended the decision to read alleged bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab his Miranda rights after just 50 minutes of interrogation, saying that “FBI interrogators believe they got valuable intelligence and were able to get all that they could out of him.”
“That decision was made by the Justice Department and the FBI by experienced FBI interrogators, Gibbs said on “Fox News Sunday.” “But make no mistake — Abdulmutallab was interrogated and valuable information was gotten by those experienced interrogators.”
After he was read his rights, Abdulmutallab stopped cooperating with investigators. [...]
Errol is perfectly right – and you are an, my! open-minded dolt -

How stupid? Stupid enough to elect them.
I live in Massachusetts. The pundits who say we are angy here are right. My anger however is directed not at the life long liberals. They don’t know any better. I’m angry at the swing independent voters. The ones who are so upset at the government’s actions last year and who in my opinion are responsible for it. Those people who are unhappy now and voted for their trouble are STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! My only consolation is they are now getting what they deserve.
It has been obvious from day one!! Sure, there is his Kenyan birth certificate, but how about all the other personal documents that we haven’t? Medical records, academic records or professional records; does any one doubt that he isn’t hiding something?
Sure, his black half is to be worshiped and adored! It is his white half that is dumb, lazy, shiftless, corrupt and mendacious and that’s the half that MUST be opposed!!!
Stoopid iz az stoopid duz, n fitty too percent or sumptin voted for dat guy az prezzydent … mostly womens n urbin sorts I dun here …
Delia – Great link on the party crashers. I was wondering about that smiling snake “Tariq”. Just something about a smilin’ Muslim Arab slipping by the SS raised my modar*. Then the administration declared the Obama social secretary to be protected under executive privelege – my modar flashed red. When “Tariq” plead the fifth my modar smoked, sputtered, sparked and exploded… (*Mohammadin radar, dear friends…)
Now we learn the guy is not only a Palestinian radical, but that Hussein knew him 5 years ago!? You don’t say!?
Sir Roger, I know your name, but what’s your game? Totally, comprehensively, completely, you’ve, like never before, exposed the O man and his rag tag bunch of dunderhead accomplices for the fruitcakes they are. Marni Nixon may have brilliantly ghost sung west side story and the king and I. But, Mr. K, this article was a symphony for the political senses.
You leave Rachel Peepers nothing to point out that you left out. Obviously, last night for dinner you had no serving
of overdone potato as Charles Dickens might have wondered.
Truth be known, Mrs. Kimball’s boy is running on all cylinders. He’s making total sense. Which adds up to bad news for the feckless Obama boys who, try as they may, can’t resist the temptation to fool patriotic Americans with another schematic of the troubled mind.
Why can’t Obama simply, instead of playing, for example, the race card, simply lay his truth cards on the table?
(Obama speaks)
“People, I haven’t been listening. Especially in regard to terrorist trying in NYC. Instead of spending money on weapons to stop them, I’m spending money on lawyers to defend them (footnote to Scott Brown).
(Obama continues)
I’ve been arrogant, detached from reality and reading strictly from the Alinsky playbook. But, this is a new Obama, and all that’s gonna change. I won’t sell this great land short again. America, I love you.”
Now, wouldn’t that sound refreshing? Especially if it were (indicative mood for any grammarians in the audience) said from the heart? A dose of honesty and Obama’s approval poll numbers, I suspect, would spring up like a Viagra prescription was given to the White House drinking supply. As Eliot Spitzer will attest to, Americans can be very forgiving people.
Now, Roger, my good man, why can’t Obama come clean with us? Does he have too much Chanticleer coursing through his veins? What’s up with the President? The American people of all colors and political persuasions want to know. Gall darn, have a right to know.
To me, it’s as if Obama is a one trick pony. As if he and his staff infection thought any potential problem could be handled
by giving another teleprompted speech.
Well, at least, Sir, Roger, you left me a thought or two to add so I don’t have to go to bed unheard, unread, feeling useless and unappreciated. How I do like to hear myself talk.
Maybe from now on, Rachel Peepers, instead of a 700 word missive to explain the world to my fellow compatriots, will simply say,
“see Kimball’s last writing on the subject. And if sir Roger hasn’t yet elucidated on the subject at hand, the rest of us can simply
wait for him to address it.
Of course, after this treatise, he’ll have a sore back from all the atta-boys.
You, sir, are the cream of the literary crop. The tallest tree in a forest of knowledge. The clarity that every writer wishes he or she could bring to the table, leaving the guests sumptuously fulfilled.
Roger, Rachel stands up and applauds you. My thunder couldn’t have been stolen by a more wonderful, decent and talented man.

it’s the question? as to why i didn’t vote for Al Gore , then John Kerry, and the ultimate cheeseburger himself the right empty Barrylicious? they think the American people are all rubes, ah just the people who voted for the Big O, and he is most definitely educating them. i just got to ask has the Big O changed his name to bush because he keeps saying its Bushes fault.
when i went on guard duty anything that happened on my watch was my responsibility, not the other guy i relieved. hey it’s the Big O’s fault, got it.
Arrogant…. that’s why I call him the iPrez
How stupid? So stupid that a self-dealing Congress enacts a law forbidding use of any sort of test of basic citizenship knowledge or rudimentary intelligence to qualify voters and most people swallow the claim that this is ‘progress’ and A Good Thing To Do.
“Comrades!
The insurrection of five kulak districts should be pitilessly suppressed. The interests of the whole revolution require this because ‘the last decisive battle’ with the kulaks is now under way everywhere. An example must be demonstrated.
* 1. Hang (and make sure that the hanging takes place in full view of the people) no fewer than one hundred known landlords, rich men, bloodsuckers.
* 2. Publish their names.
* 3. Seize all their grain from them.
* 4. Designate hostages in accordance with yesterday’s telegram.
* Do it in such a fashion that for hundreds of kilometers around the people might see, tremble, know, shout: “They are strangling, and will strangle to death, the bloodsucking kulaks”.
Telegraph receipt and implementation.
Yours, V. Lenin”
As long as black people still vote 90-96% Democrat, this problem will persist.
As long as the rest of the country is too afraid to take black people to task for their monolithic support of Democrats (despite historical realities that should cause the reverse sentiment), the problem will persist.
Can’t you just let him eat his waffle?
They know precisely.
I hear some saying that we are stupid and we deserve what we get. Some saying that we are not and the GoP is going to sweep the table in the fall elections. All sorts of prognostications.
Here is mine:
Obambi is going to “double down”. On healthscare, Cap’N'Tax, financial systems “reform” (scare quotes on purpose), etc. In the election cycle they are going to fund the goons – ACORN and the SEIU thugs – fully. And empower them to bust heads. They are going to trot out their pet journalists and smear, smear, smear any and all who oppose them. They are going to mobilize the election fraud in races they think are even close for themselves via ACORN. If they then lose and lose big look to the “dog being wagged” in some meaningful way and civil rights being suspended. Oh, and guns. They are going to try an put through the UN Treaty on Small Arms to enable the gun grab down the road.
The functional Marxists smell victory for the first time and will do anything to win. The rest of this year is going to be messy.
It’s very early to be crowing about historic victories at the end of the first quarter.
Lets have a (rare) dose of reality, just for a second: Brown’s going to (eventually) reach the senate and realise that despite his unlikely win he needs to actually do things to keep his seat. And that will mean representing the people who elected him.
And who are these people?
These are the people who kept kennedy in the seat for 163 years and who keep electing john kerry. They’re the same people who have elected no republicans to represent them in the federal house of reps for nearly two decades. They’re the same people who ditched republicans from the governorship at the last election, and who have elected a (genuinely) massive majority of democrats to both their state house of reps and senate.
The win was a big deal, but massachusetts did not just become a red state. If you think this one election means it has, you’re basically mad. If brown wants to keep his seat he’s going to have to disappoint you guys somewhat … actually, probably quite a lot.
Don’t be too shocked if he finds himself convinced by the weight of evidence in favor of health care reform (but of course he’ll make some critical, but deceptively minor modifications for the good of the people). It should be entertaining to watch.
Sorry but that’s just democracy. The people of massachusetts did not suddenly ditch the values of the democratic party.
Yes, I think MANY Americans are stupid. They think the government works like a fast food franchise. They think the govt solves problems like a 1/2 hour sitcom. They think the world acts like a video game. They think eloquence is texting some garbled expression. They think the old rules still apply.
One of the best ways to improve the economy is by solving the housing bubble mess. Are the banks doing something good and fast? Noooo, they still messing with restricting credit or really helping qualified homeowners and small businesses.
Are the Republicans helping? Noooo, they just oppose everything that doesn’t fit their super-rigid views.
I believe that the neo-Marxist triumvirate of Obama, Reid & Pelosi will push forward with their Socialist agenda, regardless of consequences, because they will make sure that there will be no electoral consequences.
They will employ massive vote fraud involving millions of illegal aliens and double votes. They will intimidate and even silence media outlets that report it (I’m looking at you, Murdoch, Drudge and Breitbart). They will make sure that they sycophantic, lapdog media dutifully reports the results that they want reported. And if it causes unrest, they will declare a state of emergency and suspend the writ of habeas corpus, citing Lincoln as precedent.
I would say that they are turning us into a banana republic — except that as we saw in Honduras, the quintessential “banana republic” actually fought to save its democracy.
I used to think Jimmy Carter was the smartest president we ever had. He single handedly got my liberal democratic parents to vote for a republican for the first time in their lives, Ronald Reagan.
But I now must concede that Barrack Obama is even smarter. He figured out how to get the most liberal state in the union to put a Republican in Ted Kennedy’s former senate seat. That’s beyond smart its brilliant.
And those of you who are not Obama fans should rejoice in all the spin by the liberal press when they say the loss has nothing to do with Obama.
Very stupid — and they’re right. So thank a teacher.
There’s no reversal, only a wiggle on the down-chart.
Wait till you see the Republican Bozos they put up this time.
Whinnie the Pooh leading Christopher Robin around the garden in search of the North Pole until they discover — themselves.
And a few pages, dollars, junkets. . .
Obama & Co’s reaction to Democrat’s defeat in Massachusetts, coming after defeats in both New Jersey and Virginia, is that Obama has obviously not adequately explained the many glorious benefits of his health care reform in words sufficiently simple for us boobs to understand, because, if we were smart enough to understand what was in our best interests, we would be overjoyed at the prospect of the Reforms’ passage.
Thus, according to several reports, it appears that Obama & Co.–despite very obvious, widespread, and loud objections from voters–are going to try to subvert the legislative process by using special deals between House and Senate Democrats and reconciliation to ram through their health care reform legislation (http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/pelosi-reid-healthcare-obama/2010/01/24/id/347820).
First, far Left House Democrats who do not like the Senate bill as it stands will be given a written pledge from 52 Senate Democrats that, if House Democrats pass the Senate bill as it stands—and Pelosi believes she can stop House members from amending it in any way, the Senators pledge to vote though a later bill, eliminating the provisions of the Senate bill that House Democrats object to, and then the House can pass that bill, too. Harry Reed believes he can argue that this second, amending bill should be treated by the Senate as a reconciliation bill requiring only 51 votes for passage, thus no filibusters, no conference committee, no super majorities needed.
I think this is political suicide for the Democrats and is both a perversion and subversion of our entire legislative process, but if this plan is implemented and the Senate bill passes in the House, while there may be mobs of angry voters besieging Capitol Hill and many Democrats will lose their seats in 2010 elections, the fact remains that this abomination will have been passed, including the language that makes key parts of it “irrevocable” by any future Congress; the damage will have been done, and it will also be—realistically speaking–very hard to immediately repeal this legislation unless Republicans gain control of both the House—likely, and the Senate—very unlikely, especially since Republicans would need to achieve veto proof majorities in the Senate as well as the House.
So, this effort to pass this health care reform legislation must be stopped in its tracks.
thank youz cfbleachers and rachel peepers for esp good comments in a good field –
How stupid? This stupid:
“My grandmother was not a highly educated woman, but she told me as a small child to quit feeding stray animals. You know why? Because they breed. You’re facilitating the problem if you give an animal or a person ample food supply. They will reproduce, especially ones that don’t think too much further than that. And so what you’ve got to do is you’ve got to curtail that type of behavior. They don’t know any better.”
How stupid is that?
Pretty stupid. Not one article about the SCOTUS decision last week? Here’s what the tea party leader had to say about it:
Dale Robertson, the founder of TeaParty.org, reacting directly to the Citizens United decision, told blogger Joy Reid that it is a constitutional travesty: “It just allows them to feed the machine. Corporations are not like people. Corporations exist forever, people don’t. Our founding fathers never wanted them; these behemoth organizations that never die, so they can collect an insurmountable amount of profit. It puts the people at a tremendous disadvantage.”
This is where the rubber meets the road. You hid behind the tea party as long as you could, but you’re about to be revealed for the establishment toadies you’ve always been.
“Just how stupid do Obama and his top advisors think we are?”
Roger, I looked at the picture of you in that bowtie and had to choke back my answer. Seriously though, you are one bright guy and this time Obama is over matched.
Commenting on #75 Beverly:
After following these directives, we must then send in a New York Times reporter to proclaim there is no mass starvation among the Kulaks, and that the Revolution gives us a taste of a glorious future for Mankind.
Perhaps we can also arrange for a Pulitzer Prize for the New York Times reporter.
blovis/89; Which establishment do you mean?
Carter/Obama –or Reagan/Bush?
UN/FedGov/Democrat/Media/Academy/NGO –or US Chamber of Commerce?
Here, just as further confirmation, is how stupid Joe Klien and TIME think we are:
http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2010/01/25/too-dumb-to-thrive/
Joe neglects to mention, however, that all the spending Obie has done and all the more spending he wants to do must be done with borrowed money. We are the co-signers of the loans, even though we had nothing to do with applying for them.
#14: Vinny – “Well, if Obama thinks that the right wing Republicans and the Jesus freaks in this country who want to impose their religion on all of us…
I really love this argument. Vinny, I BEG YOU, point out the Republican pol and his policy that imposed his religion on you.
Whazzat, you MUST pray in school now or someone was actually ALLOWED to wear a t-shirt expressing their faith in G_d to school? Murder you say? Well golly gee beav I guess we live in a theocracy.
Define for me and point to the “right wing” Republican too. That evil George Bush? What was right wing about him other than the tax cuts (Oh the horror)? Was it the prescription drugs? The no child left behind belief in our failing marxist school system? Maybe the “abandoning free market principles to save the free market”? PLEASE, point to me to the right wing policy.
Republicans are nothing but the incompetent democrat leaning lap dogs of the totalitarians you idolize in your Natl Socialist Democrat party. The parties are up and down, not right and left.
Now lets talk about our left wing govt and how the policies of the ppl YOU idolize compare to socialism and communism.
1. Disarm the public. I forgot thats what repubs try to do, NOT Hitler, Stalin, MAO and American Democrats.
2. Destroy organized religion. I forget GWB did that, NOT Hitler, Stalin, MAO and American Democrats.
3. Wonderful socialist edukation for all. AGAIN, policies of Hitler, Stalin and American Democrats.
4. Free Speech. Only if you’re an American left winger. The rest of us cant say a damn thing without “Hatin’ a black man in the white house, pure and simple”, “starvin children”, “the republicans want you to die”.
5. Its for the common good.
6. Eugenics. The left owns this lock stock and barrel.
I’m too tired to continue. You probably aren’t informed enough about your own ideology to respond with an intelligent response anyway.
The Vinnys are well along imposing Jesus Freakism on themselves. Watch ‘em if –or when –this Leninist “worse is better” designed disaster deteriorates a little further. They’ll be “Jesus, I’m sorry, I had NO idea, won’t you HELP me?”

And THAT was pretty darn stupid…
But remember the videos taken of Obama voters exiting the polling places after voting…
Morons…. Many of them couldn’t answer even the most basic political related questions..
uh.. name the current V.P. , which party currently controls congress… name one (1) Supreme Court Justice…
The results of a liberal controlled education system… they knew what they were doing there….
Shock and Awe, I remember Rumsfeld using that one day into the war in Iraq … he said it was to teach them a lesson. Then Bush with mission accomplished a couple weeks later. Well, 7 years and 45,000 dead and wounded and another hot war later… we have to ask. Did Bush really think the world was that stupid? OBAMA, trying to fix it and history will provide the answers. Don’t you agree?
WAIT…Roger…you mean I’M not the Queen of Romania?
A few months ago Roger had a little fun with Jacob Weisberg who disputed the “conventional wisdom about Obama [that] he hasn’t done anything yet” a wisdom that “…sure to be flipped on its head by the anniversary of his inauguration on Jan. 20….If, as seems increasingly likely, Obama wins passage of a health care reform by that date, he will deliver his first State of the Union address have accomplished moret than any other postwar American president at a comparable time in his presidency…”
Thought it was worth a reminder now that the address is nearly upon us.
It is evident to me that being “highly educated” does not equate to being “intelligent”. Most of the boobs graduating from elite schools, i.e. Harvard, Yale, Columbia, couldn’t pour piss out of a boot with the instructions written on the boot heel. They only know the crap that has been crammed into their small skulls by Marxist professors and have absolutely no common sense about anything useful.
7. Poor Citizen:
Barack Obama is a worse president than Bush, and Bush was a terrible president. The problem they both have is one of basic competency. Obama is clearly an intelligent man, however he has managed to spend 3 trillion dollars and somehow manage to achieve no results.
No one has ever done so little with so much.
No one ever has done so poorly with so much.
No matter how you spin it, he’s an incompetent.
A random sampling of any of these…

skeeziks:
“How stupid is that?”
That’s pretty stupid. Stray animals breed whether or not you feed them – then they starve, but not before they kill native animals, spread disease, harm pets etc.
Here’s an idea – how about trapping some of them? I’m just about to drop a cat around to the house that’s adopted her. She’s the most gorgeous, friendly cat you could ever meet – I trapped her a couple of months back, living on bugs and just waiting to get pregnant. Tonight I’m going to have a go at trapping a whole family of cats – mum, dad AND the inconceivably cute fluffy kitten – living by the block of flats on the other side of the park. I’ll get them all de-sexed, microchipped and immunized and then I’ll find THEM responsible homes. Just like I’ve done for the other 12 cats I’ve rounded up in the last few years. It’s not a full-time job – I have other things to do, obviously.
I have no personal problem with your grandma – but she reflects the “ignore it and leave it to somebody else” solution to problems. Yes, I don’t doubt that she votes republican.
And was the allegory about human poverty supposed to be so obvious? Or was that just a freudian slip?
“I BEG YOU, point out the Republican pol and his policy that imposed his religion on you”
GWB did with the global gag rule
http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=CSH&q=Global+Gag+Rule&btnG=Search&meta=&aq=f&oq=
And Ike did when he signed in the change to the pledge of allegiance.
“From this day forward, the millions of our school children will daily proclaim in every city and town, every village and rural schoolhouse, the dedication of our Nation and our people to the Almighty.”
Back to you.
Roger, they don’t think we’re stupid. They’re hoping we’re stupid.
101. baal:
I’m glad you have smart friends.
103 Matthew: You got me. GWB tried to stop US funds from funding murder – IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES. How was that imposed on you? It figures that you progressives are against that, given your Eugenicist history – Oh yea, they taught Nazis everything they know about killing off the undesireables. Ok, so abortion Murder = GOOD, no murder = totalitarian theology. Gotcha
Sorry, the pledge isnt mandatory, you cant tell me in 1 rational sentence how that affects your life in any way, and you prolly aint going to school anyway, so again, how was that imposed on you?
Back at you
Yet, the man maintains an 88% approval rating among the Democrats. So, regardless of the mess that Obama and his Administartion are creating of our nation, he is beloved by the Dems. To answer your question. “Pretty”.
CJ:
CJ, I can save you some effort – I’m not even american! I just thought I’d pop in and help out a fellow lefty with some data to answer a rhetorical question.
Now …
“GWB tried to stop US funds from funding murder – IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES.”
Um, no. There are/were already laws in place to prevent that. What he did was use PUBLIC money to try to coerce organizations which use anybody’s money (even their own) to do anything at all related to abortion – including discuss it as an option.
“How was that imposed on you?”
It wasn’t imposed on me (as I explain above). But any american tax payer who thinks this is a stupid policy (which is about half of them, judging by voting records) had a religion point of view imposed on their foreign aid contribution.
“It figures that you progressives are against that, given your Eugenicist history”
What’s really depressing is that you think you know what you’re talking about. Eugenics has a surprising history – it actually a semi-respectable topic for policy discussion right up to the 20th century, before the NAZIs showed the world its implications. But you’re probably clinging to the ridiculous claim that hitler was a leftie, which I’m pretty much sick of having to debunk.
“Sorry, the pledge isnt mandatory”
But any kid who WANTS to say the pledge has to acknowledge god. A (supposed to be) uniting tradition has become divisive because a power-bloc wants americans to believe that their country was founded as a “christian nation”. There is one pledge of allegiance – and christian power brokers just couldn’t help but “mark” it as their territory – and republicans helped them.
Well, the idea of a November 2010 Republican tsunami at the polls is all very nice… but it assumes that there will BE elections in November. Bill Ayers and George Soros–the guys who put Obama in office–are not ABOUT to give up their power. There were enough executive orders ALREADY on the books (even before Obama came in and added more) that provide for censorship, mass detentions, dictatorial executive powers, etc., in the event of a “national emergency.” You can bank on there being one between now and November. They will make SURE there is one. I’m not saying this to be a doom-and-gloomer, but in the faith that forewarned is forearmed, and the more people realize what’s coming, the less freaked-out they’ll be when it happens, and the better off we’ll be. Food, water, medical supplies, guns and ammo. Stock up enough for your own family and to help those around you.
Sobering fact: It was Bill Ayers who chose Barack Obama to be his co-director of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, the $60 million initiative to radicalize Chicago’s schools. It was Bill Ayers who introduced Obama to Chicago political movers and shakers and big-money donors. Bill Ayers was the co-founder of Weather Underground, whose goal was to ignite a race war in America, with blacks and whites slaughtering each other in the streets, creating so much chaos that a power vacuum would ensue that would enable the revolutionaries to seize power and impose communism on the United States of America. In one strategy session, when Ayers and his Weather Underground buddies were discussing the revolution, the conversation turned to what to do about people who refused to go along. “Re-educate” them. But what about those who are resistant to re-education? “Eliminate” them. How many people could that be? “Up to 25 million.” Please see http://www.zombietime.com/prairie_fire/ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWMIwziGrAQ.
To sum up: Our President’s chief political mentor and sponsor was a man who calmly and coolly countenanced the possibility of murdering up to 25 million Americans in order to get his way. Do you really think these people are going to respect such quaint little niceties as elections???
Well it just goes to show that most of those that voted for Obama are the stupid ones, that voted on feelings and bumper stickers like Hope and Change! Those that thought it best to punish the Republicans by sitting out the 2008 elections or worse yet actually voting for our current mess are only slightly smarter.
I did not vote as I was not registered but am now and will be voting although we already have two Republican senators and my representative is retiring and the only alternatives for him are well known Republicans. So my vote at this point will not matter much but will keep conservatives from my state in power at least until 2012!
People still diverted by the affirmative action apparatchik serving his dark masters of the shadows. Almost as alarming as the proles who buy into their mystical ravings writ on plastic telepromters for their puppet to read. The only thing he doesn’t do at the beck and call of Axelrod, Ayers, and Emmanuel is moonwalk away from the podium.
“Um, no. There are/were already laws in place to prevent that. What he did was use PUBLIC money to try to coerce organizations which use anybody’s money (even their own) to do anything at all related to abortion – including discuss it as an option. ”
Um, I’m not sure, and I dont think you do either, what the hell you’re trying to say.
“Eugenics has a surprising history – it actually a semi-respectable topic for policy discussion right up to the 20th century”
I know exactly what I’m talking about ala Eugenics, and you just proved me right although you probably lack the mental acuity to know it. To say it had merit means you are no different than the commy and Nazi LEFT WINGER (like you) scum that used that progressive ideal to murder millions.
You know I could be wrong on every belief I hold (and I’m not), but to know that I’m not wrong about your eugenicist, murderous ilk vindicates every wrong point I make. Racist scum.
I’m sorry, I actually fell for the sleight of hand you pulled.
This is the global gag rule from that right wing bunch of nut jobs at Reuters.
To reiterate what I first said. “103 Matthew: You got me. GWB tried to stop US funds from funding murder – IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES. How was that imposed on you?”
So, um, yes it was exactly as I said. I can see how your belief in eugenics would lead you to believe abortion is not murder but I never heard of a pregnant human woman giving birth to other than a human baby. Gotta get rid of somebody right – you eugenicist scum!
“But any american tax payer who thinks this is a stupid policy (which is about half of them, judging by voting records) had a religion point of view imposed on their foreign aid contribution.”
So when Clinton got rid of the rule, and Obama got rid of it again, did the MAJORITY of Americans get a religious (Oh yea your lefty doctrine of statism is a religion) view thrust upon them?
Please, tell me again how Hitler was a right winger. Please, no links to left wing propaganda opinion websites or socialist professor papers at Columbia.
That’s akin to left wing liberals investigating left wing ACORN for the fraud they commit on the behalf of left wingers. Nope, No corruption/Nazis here! Well duh.
Show me the videos and newspaper articles of the day that lay out where the policies of the American left were (or ARE now for that matter) diametrically different to those of Hitler (or Stalin for that matter). Second Bill of Rights – straight out of the socialist/communist playbook anyone. I wont hold my breath…
Just how stupid do Obama and his top advisors think we are?
The ‘limit of our stupidity’ is defined by ‘the bounds of our choices and their consequences’. Obviously ‘this stupid’, and seeing that we are still breathing, ther remains a potential to surpass these bounds. When we do, the wisest will quickly cliche the moment with ‘Out of the frying pan, into the fire’.
One only needs to be as wise as the ‘stupid’ to define the mechanism of stupidity.
Few, if any, will define an effectual means of attaining unto an sustainable end that in hindsight will be considered ‘wisdom’.
This wisdom in seed will be demonstrated in a ‘Choice’ proven beneficial to all, not a uptopia, but a relief unto a sustained recovery of self, community, and prosperity… sadly, never yet demonstrated in the political arena because few, if any have had the foresight to make such a choice when in a position to carry it out.
I suspect this is the curse of ‘lobby’ corrupted by self interest imposed upon the debtor … the elected representative.
But then again, a ‘Dictator’ would do it to himself.
Wherein lies our hope … change me!!!
People stupid or not…the real answer is simple..
We as American’s are a bunch of chumps, clueless, without BALLS, leave it someone else, leave it for tomorrow….leave it as we simply “get along.” Take the hits needed to get us back on track,, if this means your popularity, your job, your life….better understand the risk of NOT RISKING….for you will lose without DOUBT
The trouble with american health care is … you have an ugly insurance scam [ i mean company ] squating between you and any health care you may need . how is changing this system going to ‘ gut ‘ the care providers ? they will still get paid . us Brits are rightly proud of our NSH for all it’s faults at least anyone can get health care without some bean counter suggesting euthanasia as the cheaper option – shame Barak has not got more balls to stamp down the big business VAMPIRES and start a popular movement like one of your more proactive presidents did to climb out of the depression .
