pooorcitizen: Oh PLEEEEZ! What country have YOU lived in since 1942?

I'm a Realist shunning the "politically-correct" club and AM AWARE of Kennedy's sickening legacy?!? as one of the most evil, dispicable politician/murderers who ever evolved from America's never-ending list of "Atrocious Aristocrats!" His every breath stained our Country's honor and heritage!

It's incredible you can praise? that priviledged elite's "40 years of evil, unlawful behavior and tactics!"...a "NO MERCY!" mentality which was the basis for him walking on the backs of America's Middle Class and pooor people!

Kennedy's sickening smile unmistakably mocked the "politically-correct" public who never required that disgusting slime-bag to be responsible at any time for the countless wrongs he did, even murder! Guess what, Teddy? GOD WAS keeping track of everything, and you're GONNA' pay!

Frankly, any conservative like me who likes Strauss must see the Kennedy fenomenon with a smile in his face.
It is a sign that the USA are still a Republic and not a democracy, And quite an aristocratic one: the Kennedys, the Clintons, the Bushes,...
Ted belongued to one aristocratic family who seek suport in the populace, just like happened in ancien Rome. The only difference being that there they used their own money and Ted used the one that belongued to others.

hmmm ... what happened to my comment sent and posted a while ago ... did it get pulled because you didn't want to post anything that challenged your negative portrayal? too mature for your audience?

Just read your "update". Excuse me? I "work for a living" and I see just about everything Kennedy has done as helping to promote working people, and consequently business and capitalism. Only people who think that abusing your workers and discriminating in employment is "good business" would think otherwise. Just look at the state Sen Kennedy represented ... has one of the best overall qualities of life: highest incomes, below average tax rates, excellent schools, low poverty rate, low crime rates, best healthcare in the country. Lucky citizens of that state for having a representative who fought to make it so.
funny that you accuse Sen Kennedy of being a liar ...

I was a child in rural ma, a child born into a blue color worker and farming family, when Teddy Kennedy was first elected as my senator; the success of my whole life and my life principles can be attributed to him, his brothers, and others like them. As a child, I was inspired by their support for civil rights, for mitigating poverty and injustice, for making america a place that people throughout the world could admire and emulate. He made me want to be a good person and to contribute to make the community, state, country, and world I live in the best it can be. Thanks to the legislation he and his colleagues passed over the next couple of decades, I had an opportunity for a great public education; access to goverment loans and work study grants assured that I wasn't bankrupt at the end; the Kennedys' support for science, technology, and healthcare inspired me to get a degree in science; the role model of strength and athletics emboddied in Kennedy family women, inspired me into a field that had few women at the time and allowed me to be taken seriously by my male counterparts. Thanks to the likes of Kennedy, the Mass legislature, and the liberal and vivacious massachusetts culture, I found great job opportunities in massachusetts Biotech industry. Kennedy's passion for fair access to affordable and good quality healthcare inspires me in my daily decisions about quality and cost. I am greatful that Massachusetts' continued support for education, science and technology provides one of the most ambitious, imaginitive workforces in the world to hire from. As a daughter of aging parents, I am grateful to Kennedy for doing so much to fight for their interests. I'm proud that I voted for this man in whom so many ambitious students, struggling parents, needy veterans, ailing people, aging citizens have put their hopes for many years. I hope I and others can continue his work.
This is my response to the mean-spirited, the whiny, the ungreatful, the "what's in it for me-ers" who fill this blog. Read Dante to know where your final destiny lies.

Kennedy was a manipulative, self absorbed, example of all that is wrong in American Politics. Let's be honest, he should have been done after the less than spectacular performance on the bridge. For those of you who are not aware, the bridge has since been removed. He had a wail of a career as a rich white male working for the poor. He wrote and sponsored "No Child Left Behind", a screaming success according to absolutely NOBODY. But he saved his last, best and most telling look into his mind when he asked, literally from his death bed, to change the LAW THAT HE HAD CHANGED 5 YEARS AGO BACK. He now wants a successor named, but that was unacceptable when Romney a Republican was in charge. He did not think the rules and laws that he helped write confined or were meant for him. That is why we hear that he was for this health care, because he still would have been going to DUKE and all the other top notch medical facilities he could afford, your kids wouldn't, but his would.
I can respect a man for believing what he does and living by those beliefs, but I can't respect a man who manipulates the system in order to force those beliefs on me.
