I think that the blow from which common sense itself could not recover, was the news that he'd been replaced by what Dennis Prager calls The age Of Stupidity. That and the fact that opinion polls showed a declining interest in.., oh I forgot, from today's younger, more savvy set.

But it must be remembered as well, that the doctors did everything they could do for him (her? Sophia perhaps?), but in the end, there was nothing they could do.

Hate to miss your meeting in Chicago as we are at our vacation home in Portugal. Chicago appearance Probably partially arranged by our mutual friend Dr. Joe. If you don't remember us we were the owners of the pinnacle center in Effingham until we sold earlier this year. Hope to catch your next talk or maybe on a cruse ship. I am a big KINDLE user but have not found your materials.

Bureaucracy is unreceptive to common sense. It lacks regularity and objectivity. It responds to specific circumstances and conditions while a proper set of rules, regulations and proceduree recognizes only statistical averages, i.e., familes with 2.1 children.
