Whilst I thoroughly approve of the intimations of commentator Vanderleun , prohibition has already been proven ( yes! the science is irrefutable on THIS one AlBore )to be a complete waste of time- consult the familigliae Kennedy/Bronfman/Capone , for historical starters…the Ubanghi in the fuel supply , is the cheap,tawdry,pretentious and threadbare education we are forcefeeding our children-yup! junque pop kulture…which is really , as the Rus might say -nekulturny.They ought to know!

Thanks so very much for brightening up the day

What are we doing wrong? The spread of collectivist ideologies may well be inexorable; and outside of our own lives and young families, I’m not sure we can do much about that. Things may have to get much worse before we rediscover history and reality all over again.

In the meantime, I hope to embody the humility of Chesterton when he answered the question “what’s wrong with the world” with his singular answer: “I am.”

We are doing nothing wrong. The quoted author was enjoying the cultured life of England’s elite, and that culture arose from centuries of hereditary aristrocracy.

We have nothing like it in the US. Our political dynasties last perhaps as many as 3 generations. Our “old money” dynasties perhaps slightly longer, and more covertly.

And there is no unifying aspect of American culture that yearns for the strong hand of Eurocrats.
