I think that one of the greatest contributions Palin is making to this election, second only to the dynamics it is adding to the GO{ ticket,is that it so upsetting the MSM that the absurdity, and venality of their. product, hitherto not particularly noted by the uncommitted, is now exposed in all its unfairness, crassness and and vulgarity.

Their irrational partisan frenzy of falsity and fabrication is not just backfiring on the VP issue, it is destroying their credibility across the board.

As I have heard and seen in discussions, many women in the Democratic Party, given the treatment with which Hillary was subjected by those within the party and the MSM has given them pause. Many view the issue of abortion an issue which the Democratic Party merely employs to keep women in line sans sincerity. Moreover, many take umbrage with the idea that feminism concerns not merely one being a woman, but, rather, that one is a woman with the CORRECT ideas, i.e. being a woman isn’t good enough.

Thus, the delectable quote of the day:

I think one major reason for the Democrats’ hatred of Palin is that in her they see the first example of the coming new generation of national politicians for the Republican Party, and it scares the life out of them. People like Palin and Jindal, and others who will be coming up soon, will be so hard for the reactionary Democrats to oppose that the Dems are looking at a continual disaster in the coming twenty years, and they know it. The Dems’ only recourse is practicing personal destruction and vicious smearing on them, as we have seen with Palin.

I think it was a sloppy article (the WP one, not Roger’s). There are two reasons why democrats my favor Sarah less than republicans. One is partisanship, and another is disagreement. There seemed to be examples of both in the article “I’m not really aligned with her values….”, and “Her rhetoric sounded very, very much like what I’m used to hearing from Republicans”.

There is news here and the news is that, maybe, choosing Sarah has derailed the ‘Clintons for McCain’ project, if it was ever realistic, despite Sarha’s sex.

You forget about “gender” and “sex.” Among the academic and media (“communications”) intelligentsia, it was decided about twenty-five years ago that there are no significant physical or physiological differences between women and men. Such differences as exist are mental and behavioral, not biological: e.g., women are nurturing, caring, non-violent, subtle, and relationship-centered, while men are self-centered, competitive, violent, direct, and insensitive. These are the differences represented by the term “gender.” There are no “sex” differences that matter. “Sex” is socially constructed. And I am a Martian stamp collector, cleverly disguised as one of you “humans.”

Maybe next week they’ll do an extensive expose on why placing your hand into a white-hot fire is a bad idea.

I’ve seen the double-standard applied before, but I’ve never seen things as bad as they are in this election cycle. I think when Sarah Palin walked onto the stage looking strong, beautiful and confident, those on the left didn’t see any of those things. They saw in stereotypes — a redneck, a baby machine, a fake, an airhead. They saw what they wanted to see and heard what they wanted to hear. Her speech was clever, intelligent, funny, inspiring and delivered perfectly, but they only heard sarcasm, stupidity, lies, Bush-parroting deviltry … and she used a teleprompter!!

You expect it from the media. I’ve never seen it so quickly and crazily in the ranks of ordinary people that write blogs and leave comments. There may be no clearer evidence of the growing divide between left and right — we’re worlds apart.

And I agree with something said a couple posts back — their world is full of really, REALLY insane people.
