I wonder how tickets to Al Gore’s mendacious Eco-Thriller “An Inconvenient Truth” (now available on DVD!) are selling in International Falls Minnesota? The temperature there fell to 40 below zero today, just a few days after it won a federal trademark making it officially the “Icebox of the Nation.”
Meanwhile, Northern Saudi Arabia has been “paralyzed” with snow and ice as it conjures with its coldest winter in 20 years. It will probably be difficult to get enough electricity in those snow-bound parts of Saudi Arabia to screen Mr. Gore’s movie as entertainment while the Kingdom imports some more snow plows, but over in China I’ll bet they could offer it as a distraction for the 200,000 people stranded at the Guangzhou railway station, a few of the “tens of millions” affected by the storms.

How refreshing to have someone point out the conundrum of Global Warming and the reality of weather. That is whether to believe or not to believe in the whole global warming idiology when faced with abnormal weather events around the world.
Dear Roger,
Two young men from Minnesota, on behalf of “Minnesotans for Global Warming,” have posted a charming, funny music video on YouTube, in which they make the case for the benefits of global warming.
Here’s a link to their video:

BEWARE! If this keeps up, we are going to start hearing warnings echoing down from 1978 demanding urgent government action on a vast scale to avert another ice-age.
The climate may change, climatology may advance; but the yearning for Heroic Government Programs remains undiminished.
Roger
I heard you speak at Yale a few years back and enjoyed your dressing-down of Bob Stern, Peter Eisenman, and Leon Krier. Thanks for that.
Your cheap shots at global warming leave a lot to be desired, however. The “40 below zero in International Falls” jab misses the point and is foolishly simplistic. I’d expect something like that from local shock-jocks or sports journalists, maybe.
If you’ve yet to drink the Kool-Aid on climate change, then why not add some intelligence and data to your refutation instead of snarky humor?
Joke:
Q. Why is it so cold?
A. Global Warming!
I shiver just thinking how much colder it would be without global warming.
We not fear catastrophic Global Warming because astronomers have discovered a whole new class of huge asteroids on a collision course with Earth. They’re called preposteroids.
You are not allowed to use singular weather events to question global warming orthodoxy. Day to day weather should not be confused with climate unless you are an environmental ideologue, then you may use events like Hurricane Katrina to herald the coming global Apocalypse.
In other parts of the world, there is no record cold but warmer winters, including the Philippines and parts of Australia. Tornados are appearing in the Midwest U.S., and there were forest fires and record warmth in Australia and parts of the U.S. While Afghanistan, Iran, and other countries face record cold, parts of the Middle East remain unusually warm.
You also forgot to mention tornados in several parts of the U.S., warmer weather in several tropical countries when it’s supposed to be much colder, drought and forest fires in others months earlier, flooding, and higher sea levels. Parts of the U.S. West Coast, India, China, the Philippines, and other countries experienced less rain.
