Habu @ 41: I’m not sure Jefferson belongs in that list, but for sure neither do Calvin or … Blackstone, wot? Now, I’m a huge fan of the Federalist Papers, Jay, Madison, Hamilton, but they derived much of their thought from preceeding philosophers (back to Plato), not to mention the British government after 1688 anyway. The Adams-Jefferson letters are interesting, but rather later, and I’d want Adams in there more than that leftist Jefferson. So, … um, whatever.
