I agree.
As a Brit whose interest in politics of any kind is deeply reluctant, I am rather embarrassed by my enthusiasm, but McCain has made a brave, bold and exciting choice.
He has also addressed the “what if” concerns about his age and health by choosing Palin to be a real and energetic VP, and not just a spare wheel.
Between them, they probably understand more Americans more deeply than the opposition will ever do. As people, they have more depth, more content of character, and are both more normal and yet more exceptional than the opposition.
The politics will get dirty and spiteful before the end, but I do hope that McCain and Palin will come out on top.
